    Snowfall, Spirits & Small Miracles

This week on the ridge felt like a chapter turning. We lost Penelope, one of the early Mavis Manor cats, born the same year as Rascal and woven into the first stories of this land. Her passing arrived alongside the first true snow of the season, six or seven inches that softened every sound and brought a thoughtful quiet to the farm. And then, as if to balance the sorrow, the mountain offered a gift: a timberdoodle standing in the fog behind the barn, tucked in the evergreen thicket we’ve been tending all year. A small miracle. A sign that restoration works.Meanwhile, the Sun stirred with X-class flare activity, the Christmas Parade prepared to roll out, and winter chores began in earnest.Episode 4 is a tender one : a winter reflection shaped by snowfall, spirits, and the small wonders that keep us rooted to this place.
