Crazy Frog is a load of noise involving a frenchy little rhythm especially for the artist behind the street art image accompanying this track, Stephane Canal, a prolific photographer, obsessed with documenting street art and at his suggestion he felt this piece should be called Crazy Frog. Who am I to disagree :)

These 2 images are found in a 4x4 mtr cell with iron bars at the windows & door, a place to shit in the corner and hard concrete surroundings to punish the criminals who once festered here. Sanchai is a Chiang Mai Street Artist who produces consistently high quality murals which are distinctly recognisable from the use of colour, clothing (especially the flat soled shoes!) and unique facial features of the green man. Ever wondered what goes on behind those fluttering eyes of sleeping terriers? Thailand Street Artist WARIS draws an image of a cute little terrier, possibly dreaming of their spiritual origins. Maybe their sleep was more of a mystical trip ! :)

Trouble inside is a troubled mural found in one of the derelict cells within the old prison buildings in the centre of Chiang Mai. The rage and anger within the body, walls, horns and grotesque forms coupled with a house showing eyes looking out and trying to communicate, conjure up many emotions when seen within the harsh, squalid confines of a prison cell. Species have gone extinct because of our abuse and greed. This track grew from seeing the face of this mural on the cold hard wall of an abandoned multi story building without external walls or windows, the walls are like desert landscapes except for faces staring out into space. Planet Earth is pushing animals to extinction. #MAUY & #YAP fight back ! In my search for new street art at the beginning of January, I found a huge pristine mural with 4 distinct characters. They were set in a common theme and each of them reflected exceptional levels of detail and messages. This mural confirmed and focused my mind on how important these artists were. The part of the mural I chose for Animals Fighting for Space by #MAUY & #YAP spoke to me about the struggle of wildlife, especially here in Thailand, with so much of their habitat being removed by humans and there being increased confrontation between us. Through this piece of work I discovered the man behind the art Piyasak Khiaosaard and managed to meet and hear his presentation at TEDxChiangmai on 10 Feb 2018. #STREETART #STREETARTTHAILAND

I had decided to make a fresh trawl of all the locations I had previously found street art and stumbled across what to me was a new phase in murals that I was seeing around town. Collaborations of a local group of artists that visually complemented each other. The Tears for Cecil mural is by #WARIS. The pointless murder of Cecil in July 2017 immediately came to mind and I assumed the swan represented other wildlife and the girl represented like minded humans, mourning the loss of such a fine creature. #STREETART #STREETARTTHAILAND
