An Audible Diary by Fleur Joesten
by Fleur Joesten
"What started as a way of organising my thoughts slowly grew into a way for me to document and record my journey as an entrepreneur, artist and designer. When I started this I was working through a lot and trying to make sense of my life at the time, and this became cathartic in many ways. Every entry that I post is fuelled and inspired by what I am feeling in the moment and what is on my mind, like a diary. I am extending you the privilege to get a closer look behind the curtains as I am building my business and my life entirely on my own terms."Fleur Joesten (born 1995 in Harderwijk, the Netherlands) is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, photographer, videographer, director and inventor who lives in Rotterdam with her two cats Yara and Milly. She describes herself as an "experimentalist", using different textures, colours, materials and techniques to create and tell stories taken from life, history, cinema, video games, myths, legends and folklore.

Renaissance - An Audible Diary Entry by Fleur Joesten
“And that no matter how my life turns out [..] that I will never have people define me, and that I tell the world who I am, not the other way around.” "I recorded this audible diary entry yesterday night. I identify as an artist, but I go by many titles. I have been a creative for many years, and learned many (hard) lessons from those experiences. I believe that as an artist, and as a creative in any business, it is incredibly important to protect your essence, and to not allow people to turn that essence into a commodity. My creativity comes from deep within. I have suffered greatly to get to the good part where I can turn pressure and pain into diamonds, and I will not have anyone ever take that from me. I don’t know if this is me being vulnerable or perhaps it is a battle cry. Maybe both. Let it be known that I am back, and that this is my renaissance."Fleur Joesten (born 1995 in Harderwijk, the Netherlands) is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, photographer, videographer, director and inventor who lives in Rotterdam with her two cats Yara and Milly.
