With the absence of public transportation in Lebanon, many people are using unofficial shared means of transportation. It is true that they cover the gap that exists due to the absence of official public transportation, but they don't really offer much of a solution for Lebanese women, as they are more vulnerable to harassment when using these unofficial means of transportation. This makes it difficult for Lebanese women to obtain educational, economic, and health care opportunities.
