Welcome back, everyone! We have another very special episode here. Alex finally gets to sit down with the legend himself: Jack Ball. Jack is one of the lead singers and guitarists for Moon Owl's Mages; he is the other half of Back Wall Records and a great man. Alex was very excited to sit down with him and discuss all things music. They talked together so much that we figured a 2-parter would be best. We shout out so many great bands and artists in these episodes, you may have to make a list somewhere to keep them all straight.

Mind Expanders - Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

In this episode, Alex launches yet another series. We're calling this one Mind Expanders because we'll be covering all of the artists, albums, songs, genres, etc that expanded our tastes and allowed us to enjoy music of all shapes and sizes. Some albums lie far on the outskirts of punk rock, others are in a completely different universe, but they're all great, and we want to share them with you. The first one Alex is covering is the tribute-to-a-state-album, Illinois, by Sufjan Stevens. Defending Ska 1

I am a huge fan of Ska. I have been for almost 20 years. There are many reasons why I love it, and many reasons why other people hate it. In this series we dive into all of that and I present songs that show how great this genre really is. Let us know if you're a fan or not and why.

Icons - The Beatles - Please Please Me

With this series, he'll dive into these icons' discographies and try to uncover what makes these artists legendary and whether or not he likes any of their songs enough to add them to his regular rotation. To kick it off he's jumping into possibly the biggest icon, The Beatles with their 1st studio album: Please Please Me.
