bahr-l-ghurbat is a mobile radiophonic space and majlis samaa - a setting for experimental and electro-acoustic listening.It moves between studios, rooms, markets, ports, and online gatherings- - - a momentary assembly of ears, called together by sound and waves.bahr-l-ghurbat works with voices, field recordings, noise, and live electronics to think with ghurba (estrangement), philosophy, and Sufism.
