    Episode 5: Education In this podcast episode, we reflected on our experiences from our capstone class and our engagement with Indigenous ethical protocols, culture, and perspectives. We discuss what we learned about how to respectfully engage with Indigenous knowledge as individuals outside the community.     Episode 2: What if preserving language could shape the future of culture? In this episode of Beyond the Textbook, we’re joined by Douglas Winnipeg from Siksika Nation, who shares how the Blackfoot language carries identity, history, and innovation. As a first-year engineering student, Douglas, alongside his two group mates, created a prairie chicken-inspired language learning toy to support Blackfoot revitalization. Through this conversation, we explore how Indigenous language preservation bridges generations, inspires new ways of learning, and keeps culture alive through both tradition and technology.
