E2 MIGRATING: 5 Reasons You Should Live Abroad
This is the 2nd week of the podcast! Thank you so much for listening! I have seen people show up from Belgium, Australia, the US & also Thailand. It makes me so curious: Who you are? What you do in life and how you found me? It’s only been my second week and as mentioned in my first podcast things are not perfect but that’s okay. I’m here for you. I’m here to share my knowledge & my experiences - so together we can create that dream life, you can’t stop thinking about. I hope to inspire you to take brave actions, to try new things, to have a leap of faith. Next to that, I want to share some knowledge so that after you jump you'll feel a little safer. Who am I? I’m Karen. I’m a 32 year Belgian girl who 4 years ago decided to not take a promotion for my dream job and instead gave up my ‘perfect’ life to follow my gut feeling & come to Australia. I’m founder of bizz.agency a marketing agency where I help entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. Today I would like to talk to you about my experience as an immigrant. And why I think everyone should at least once in their life live somewhere else. I left Belgium when I was 28. My gut feeling has been trying to guide me to come to Australia since I was 14 years old, but it took me another 14 years to actually listen. Before I left I remember people asking me for how long I was going to go for, but I had no clue. Heck, I didn’t even know what to expect or what I was doing. I really just took a leap and had faith things would turn out allright. And they did! I haven’t felt so alive in the past 4 years!! Here are 5 reasons why I would totally recommend you to go and live somewhere else for at least once in your life:I grew enormously & I learned a LOT. About the world, but mainly about myself. Things I never thought about before! New environments, new routines, new struggles to deal with. Things I never even thought I was struggling with. I would never have learned this much if I had stayed at home. You can be whoever you want to be. Nobody knows you in this new place. It can be a fresh new start! You get to decide what you need to do.Less obligations. Less obligatory family and friend events (birthdays parties, gender reveal parties,…). They are fun! But they can take up a lot of your time. Time you might need to invest in starting a business. You become very resilient. I didn't have much of a plan. I needed to look for a job once I arrived and it did NOT go easy. It gets hard! You have to become creative. You understand struggles of the world better. You DO have less rights & less access as an immigrant. You see the world with a new set of eyes. You have seen different perspectives. Every experience is obviously different. This list is based solidly on my own experiences. Have you lived abroad? What were your experiences? Are you considering living abroad? Where would you go?

E1 BUSINESS: Authentic Decision Making
Welcome to my very first episode!! 🤩 Things are not perfect (I don’t have a microphone, I don’t have a jingle,…) but that’s okay. What’s important is to move forward and take action. Too often we’re focused on things needing to be perfect that we get overwhelmed and do nothing. Doing something is definitely better than doing nothing! Today I want to talk about authentic decision making. Before making any kind of decision one of the things I like to think about it: ‘’Is this really me or is this what society tells me to do’’ The reason why I like this question so much is because I feel like for a loooong time I have always done what society asked me to do. And it made me really unhappy. I hope you enjoyed this episode. If you listened all the way through. Congratulations! Please let me know what you thought about it in the comments or rate my podcast and see you next week!
