KJBBQ (Pre Part Mu)
So here is THE "FIRST" PART of my COVID compositional piece (as opposed to the almost to entirely improvisational stuff) my first in who knows how long, as well as my first vinyl manipulation experiment in eons, much less remotely "serious" and recorded practically ever.....!?!D as you may have heard, i finally picked up a kind of nasty vinyl habit as my quarantine indulgence, and as such, i thought I should make something uniquely creative back out of it for the first time in eons (i occasionally dabbled as far back as Boulder, when i last even had a turntable, but don't think i ever recorded any, and all of that stuff would be in Boulder dump now annyway.....P i had an enticing inspiration, and away we go...!!D these are made 100% from multiple improvisational hand-vinyl-turntable manipulation sessions (EXCEPT for the Kool Keith sample; that record DOES exist on vinyl, but is VERY pricey rare, wasn't about to commit THAT much to the bit, though I did pick up the CD just to make my own artisanal rip...D afterward mixed together on computer with additional manipulation and some effects (though most of the manipulation, and nearly if not all of the reverb, were recorded live; computer was mostly arranging and mixing with some tweaking.) these were always intended to be played in sequence, though I did compose the "2nd part" ("Part Fore") back in early 2021, and only got around to executing the "1st part" in recent weeks, the sequence was fairly well (if somewhat broadly) conceived, and the recording sessions executed, back then. For someone very special to me, I'll miss you very much. ~Rev. Elgaroo Brenza Promotional image: https://facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10209816918817071&id=1755300040 CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 Rev.
