Daring Greatly

Shame, fear of being vulnerable or weak, and fear of failing.We'll discuss what things keep us behind our shields, protecting ourselves from what we think will hurt us, but in reality just cuts us off from being fully alive. And we'll talk about what it could look like to put down that shield, show up, and dare greatly in our lives. We invite you to dare greatly with us!

Man Enough
What do you have to be in order to be "Man Enough"? There is a code we have all been taught since we are young that defines who we need to be in order to be accepted into the man club. In short, the list usually comes down to, don't be a wuss, don't be weak. Following this code in order to belong and be accepted keeps us from being fully alive and authentically ourselves. We'll discuss how to break free from this code and how we are already enough to belong and be accepted just as we are.

The Men We Need
Men, we need you out here! We need you to show up, bring your true self, and take responsibility to tend the garden you've been given in the world. Brant Hansen, in his book "The Men We Need," contends that at the core of masculinity is taking responsibility, or as he puts it, being a keeper of the garden. In this episode we discuss our reflections on how taking responsibility is life-giving, scary, and tempting to avoid! Thanks for being on the journey with us.

We dive into our first book, "Fighting Shadows" by Jefferson Bethke & Jon Tyson. There are shadows and lies that hang over our heads as men that keep us from becoming fully alive. The ones that resonated with us the most were Loneliness, Ambition and Shame. We share our experiences around these shadows and how we are inspired to dispell them through community, kingdom vision, and vulnerability.
