Burned by Billionaires and Resisting ICE & Building Workers Power in Maine
"Bread and Roses Too," hosted by Green Mountain DSA members, Joseph Gainza and Traven, offers a workers viewpoint on economic inequality and buidlng working class power.This edition has two guests:Chuck Collins, author of "Burned by Billionaires" where he describes how the billionaire class affects our lives, our health, our democracy, where and how we live, our work, and the effect on the the climate. Chuck is the Director of the Program on Inequality and the Common Good at the Institute for Policy Studies where he co-edits http://inequality.org. He is also cofounder of http://divestinvest.org, a global movement to divest from fossil fuels and invest in climate solutions; and trustee of the Post-Carbon Institute and http://resilience.org.Todd Chretien is an organizer, former co-chair of Maine Democratic Socialists of America, a high school Spanish teacher/translator, and a candidate for the Maine House of Representatives. We discuss building a broad movement to resist ICE and build working class power in Maine. He has contributed to several books, including Socialist Strategy and Electoral Politics.
