Burn The Tale

🔥 Burn the Tale is a feminist podcast reclaiming the stories of women erased, vilified, or gaslit by history. Each episode, we uncover a true tale, break down the manipulation, and rewrite it with truth, rage, and sharp humor. Hosted by two unapologetically outspoken women, we bring justice, clarity (and fire) to the stories the world tried to bury. It’s time to set the record straight.

When the Beguines Began: Women Who Refused to Be Consumed

There was a time when women created communities without men, without vows, without permission. They lived together. Worked together. Prayed together. They answered to no husband, no father, no priest. They were called Beguines. So why has no one heard their name?In this episode, we dig into the forgotten history of the Beguines: the medieval women who built an entire parallel society… and were erased for it.We talk spiritual rebellion, economic independence, very emotional men (you would think it was their time of the month), real estate power moves, and why the Church started panicking when women started reading the Bible for themselves. It’s giving Panic at the Papacy, Spiritual Girlbossing, and one-way tickets to the stake.Come for the history. Stay for the righteous rage. And if this episode sounds slightly chaotic? That’s because it was. We recorded it in less-than-ideal conditions, but like the Beguines, we persisted slightly frazzled, occasionally off-mic, but entirely unstoppable. 🔥

"The Crimson Court: When Men Burned Bright in Rouge and Heels"

There was a time when men’s fashion was layered, symbolic, and intentional. Heels weren’t “feminine.” Rouge wasn’t “unmanly.” Velvet, lace, and gold signified power, not weakness. In this episode, we explore that forgotten part of history - when men burned bright in the courts and at war - and what it says about the way masculinity has been reshaped and restricted over time.Because when French footballer Jules Koundé wore heels in 2024, the outrage was instant. But what are people really reacting to?We talk fashion, power, control, and how patriarchy punishes everyone (not just women) who dares to step outside its rigid frame. Come for the history. Stay for the heels. 🔥

"The Brewing Witches: A Tale Too Hot to Handle"

Long before the witch hunts, women were the brewmasters: the Alewives. Respected, skilled, unstoppable. So how did they become symbols of fear? In this first episode of Burn the Tale, we expose how power-hungry systems turned brewers into “witches” (or did they? Was that also a tale?) to silence and control them. It’s a tale of erasure, resistance, and reclaiming what's ours - retold with fury, wit, and flames. Light it up. 🔥
