Business lessons and problems at 20 years old
by Lucas Medina Alarcon
In this podcast I document my challenges, thoughts, and ideas when it comes to being successful without a college degree. I strive to start a business and balance personal life, a W 2 job, and prior commitments. There are many things I wish someone told me when I started chasing my dream 2 years ago. I would have avoided fatal mistakes. The amount you grow as a person when going through extraordinary experiences is something you may not find at school. Here you can get a glimpse into the mind of someone who is not chasing a degree or a stable job, but a very unique future.

Overwhelmed with information and self sabotage
There are so many aspects of business. I am catching myself, wanting to succeed too quickly that I feel I don’t have enough time to learn everything I need in reality. I need to slow down and realize this is what I signed up for and this is a process. I am also self sabotaging by wondering what value I actually bring to the client Technologies is changing and I don’t know if to continue to learn videography or keep it simple and double down on videos, structure for social media and creativity as well as editing because AI seems to be replacing the cameraman really soon.
