Uploading the right solo...for my solo video.

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=captainquack22/vqjsvkwoei because.... i didnt even put the right video in my post yesterday. The riff i had in place yesterday was actually the part that happens right before the solo. Its a cool part that is actually sort of easy, but man, kinda hard to do cleanly and smoothly. I played for a few minutes, to warm up and to try and get it down. I dont even remember when i got that moment of me playing it halfway decently. It came out ok though, and that part was meant to be a Clean sounding part, no distortion. Now, the solo I been talkin about is with more of a distortion sound, maybe some Chorus if you want to be specific, im just using some reverb on this amp. And that is the video that is going up for sure today. Its in standard tuning EADGBE...i think is the correct way to spell it. Im just so rusty too, so there is a lot of room for improvement. For the 20 years or so, that ive been playing, i really havent put in so much time practicing. It has come and gone. Cycles of it.... like crypto (drum roll) ... but good moment for a reminder that this a Metallica song called Fade to Black. Still one of my favorite songs. I have already done a few other riffs from this same song on prior posts. Its probably a 6 minute long song, im guessing a bit, and uploading videos is still new to me, especially here. Reminds me that i would love to improve my production quality, cuz im just doin it ya know. Plenty room for improvement there too. I watch so many videos, i can see what makes a nice setup. But for now, this will do. So lets Rock. Mess around with that play button, the video should play, but its tricky sometimes. 1st solo, about 20 seconds into the song, after and acoustic/clean intro (riff from last video) Even while getting this one uploaded there was just a slight hiccup. I feel like when it uploads and starts to encode, the app is a little touchy, so i had to redo it. I had to cancel the upload, to restart it and make sure things were less busy. I shut off youtube and let the app just sit there and do its thing. When it encoded, it said it was ready, and boom. So yeah, lets move on to better and brighter days and keep rockin. We takin steps up this mountain. Lets keep ROCKIN 🎸

Trying to Shred my Favorite Solo

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=captainquack22/seowypvayz ....and its from the same old song ive been riffin from. Good ol "Fade to Black" by Metallica. This is just my cover, on my Ibanez Electric guitar, with modified pickups and a Schecter Amp. Thanks to #ecency and #threespeak because otherwise im not sure id be able to upload my videos into my posts. Theres plenty ways to figure things out, i can always just use my youtube i suppose, but i like being able to do it this way. Even though, im not quite feeling 100% due to a Cold Virus, i still wanted to jam and get a post going. I did a couple runs to practice today, but im forever rusty, due to practicing enough past 10 years. Its cool though, because i feel like i still got it, but its hard to not make mistakes. Surely with discipline and practice it would be easier and smoother. Anyways though, time to get this video up. For anyone who has trouble getting these videos to work, you just have to click the play button a couple times. I dance around the play button actually, that seems to get it to work. So give it a couple clicks, its under a minute long. Fade to Black Solo This was actually one of the first solos i learned almost note for note. The whole song actually. Its not easy, but in the grandscheme of things, with practice, i did eventually pick it up quite well. It has a lot of Pentatonic scale in it. Blues style of riff and solo. Its Kirk Hammett from Metallica, he is known to be influenced by famous blues artists from the 80s. So give that play button a couple clicks, move your finger around a bit and it should work. I already put my guitar away, im coughing and my body hurts a bit....but i should be fine. Interesting times, lets band together and rock this place during these hard times for our ecosystem.

    As one Riff ends....another begins.

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=captainquack22/emzjcnvins Its been a week since i posted my last riff....and im back.... because i have one more 😎 This is still from the same song, which is by Metallica, a song called Fade to Black. Its a bit of a deep song, and its contents are a little too much to describe completely. Maybe its possible that there are many interpretations but it can mostly be summed up as how a Life....may just simply... FADE TO BLACK A lot of people like this song, and its been one of my favorites for a long time. The lyrics are meaningful and the riffs are good. The solo and 2nd solo is one of my favorites ever. It is not that hard of a song to play actually, but not that easy. For me, it was challenging, and still to this day 1 of the only songs i can say, that i can almost play every note of. Nowadays though, im a little rusty. This piece of the song today, is a clean part that is quite tough, but always rewarding to play. Im still trying to understand how uploads work and i dont have a lot of software to edit videos and make them nice. Maybe someday. For now, a simple video of me playing this clean part of the song is what i have today. It seems to have uploaded, encoded, and as i reminisce good times, im also hit with a flood that knocks me down. To think of time passed, and for the time that shall pass before me. Rock with me, is all I'm sayin.

    Jammin a Riff for Hive

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=captainquack22/chgsdepbdy ....and doing so on my 1st Electric guitar. An Ibanez RG120. I believe i have told this story on Hive before, but lets go for another round, of trying to explain it. It was probably 20 years ago already, crazy. My grandpa and grandma wanted to buy me a gift for my birthday i think. I was still a kid, just starting to learn guitar, and getting into what can be called Classic Rock. We went to a spot called Guitar Center and we picked up this baaaaaaaad little thing. It cost only about $200 usd at the time and the quality is not the best. I upgraded some parts on it, so since....it Jams pretty well. Metallica, and similar bands of the genre were my favorite back then. This RIFF.... is from a song called..... FADE TO BLACK These are also my 2 Guitar Amplifiers, on an old dresser. Along with some things piled on top. The one i will jam on real quick is right here, it has many dials and settings. Im using some basics, and a distortion (heavy, crunchy) sound for this song. Just playing around, because i actually havent practiced for a long time. This amp is made by a brand called Schecter. So now my amp is ready and i want to try and upload this short video but it might be my 1st video ever, and its a bit of a challenge i see. Im using Ecency and it seems to have encoded it through 3Speak which is kinda cool. Now, doing my preview, im not even sure that it will work, but it does seem ready. So anyways, lets give it a try and see what happens. Lets keep Jammin LETS KEEP ROCKIN.
