Missing in the Midwest: The Abduction of Angela Hammond
It’s late on the night of April 4th, 1991 in Clinton, Missouri. 20-year-old Angela Hammond is standing outside the Food Barn, leaning against a payphone, talking to her fiancé. Somewhere in the middle of that conversation, Angela notices something...a truck. She mentions it casually at first, just something passing through the parking lot. But then, it comes back, and then again. Each time a little slower. Each time a little closer. Now it has her attention because it’s not just passing through anymore, it's circling her. Angela stays on the phone, describing what she’s seeing as it’s happening. There’s a brief interaction. A pause, and then — a scream....In this episode of Case Uncovered, I continue the Tuesday bonus series Missing in the Midwest, highlighting missing persons cases across Illinois and the Midwest to bring renewed awareness for families still searching for answers. If you have any information about the abduction & disappearance of Angela Hammond please contact:Clinton Police Department660-885-2679Support the Podcast If you enjoy Case Uncovered, please consider leaving a five-star rating and review. New Podcast: Secrets Beyond the Sacramento River
Secrets Beyond the Sacramento RiverThe first episode drops March 30th! Each new episode will drop the following Monday. We're seeking the answer to the question, "What happened to Jeff Anderson?"Jeff Anderson was just 40 years old when his car rolled into the Sacramento River the evening of September 9th, 2023. Despite 911 calls from eye witnesses confirming the entry point of Jeff's car into the river, rescue attempts were not conducted until September 13th- 4 days later. Upon retrieval, law enforcement removed Jeff's car key from his front pocket of his pants. His car transmission was in "park." Inconsistencies in stories about Jeff's last hours have raised more questions than answers:Was Jeff assaulted? Was Jeff helped to his car from a bar and taken water? Was Jeff roofied? Was Jeff in emotional distress? We have witness statements submitted to law enforcement saying they were told by eye witnesses that there were two cars that evening, not one. When the car eye witnesses were followed up by law enforcement, this claim was denied ever being said. Why?We'll share dispatch calls. We'll share incident reports. We'll share toxicology reports. Was this a horrific accident, or was this case closed without a proper investigation? Why did the PI hired by the family take years to get the report back to family? Why was Jeff's car parked only to allegedly roll from a stop across a flat grade road, make a 90 degree turn, and then go into the water? Why has Jeff's phone had multiple hacking attempts? Why wasn't Jeff's case looking into as a suspected homicide? The stories the family were told by law enforcement alone will outrage you. We'll be covering the witness reports, police reports, autopsy report, interviews, written statements, and our documented attempts to communicate with Sheriff Cooper and the District Attorney. March 30th-Time to ask seek the answers to questions law enforcement should have asked before closing Jeff's case. Cases That Haunt Me: The Murder of Stacey Colbert
In this episode of Case Uncovered, I’m introducing a new monthly series called Cases That Haunt Me. These are cases that have stayed with me long after the research ends. They are cases I have personally spent time investigating, cases where I have connected with the friends and family of the victim, and cases where the lack of answers still weighs heavily on everyone who loved them. Today I am revisiting the murder of Stacey Colbert. Stacey was a 23 year old marketing assistant living in Columbus, Ohio when a terrifying incident inside her apartment in March of 1998 changed everything. What began as an ordinary weekend quickly turned into a mystery that has haunted investigators, friends, and family for decades...I previously covered Stacey’s case in depth on Season 1 of The Unseen Truth, where I shared interviews with her friends, family members, and the detective on her case. If you want to dive deeper into the investigation and hear those conversations, you can listen to the full series wherever you listen to podcasts. To follow updates about Stacey’s case and help keep her story visible, please follow Finishing Stacey’s Fight, a page run by Stacey’s friends and family who continue to advocate for justice and share information about the case. You can find them on social media atFinishing Stacey’s Fight on Facebook@finishingstaceysfight on Instagram@finishingstaceysfight on TikTokIf you have any information about the murder of Stacey Colbert, please contact:Delaware County Ohio Detective Bureau(740) 833 2830This episode is sponsored by Safely, a women-founded company creating modern personal safety tools designed to help you feel more confident and prepared in everyday life. When Someone You Love Goes Missing | Dan Davis Case
This episode of Case Uncovered is different. For the first time in a while, I sat down in studio for a real, honest conversation — not just about a case, but about what it’s actually like when someone you love goes missing. Wendy Davis joins me to talk about her dad, Dan Davis, who has been missing from the Chicago area since November 2025. But this conversation goes beyond timelines and facts. It’s about the waiting. The unknown. The questions no one prepares you for. I recently walked through my own missing loved one's case that ended in tragedy. Wendy is still living in the middle of hers. This episode is two women speaking from experience — not headlines. If you’ve ever wondered what families really go through during a missing persons case, this conversation is for you.Watch the video version of this episode on YouTube here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvYUEjKNJeMIf you have any information about the disappearance of Dan Davis please contact the Chicago Police Department at 312-747-8274 To stay up to date on the search for Dan you can join the Facebook group "FIND DAN DAVIS" Case Uncovered is a part of the non-profit The Reignited Project. The Search For Charlotte Heimann: Part 2
In Part Two of The Search for Charlotte Heimann, the focus shifts to what happened once new information was brought forward and the search reached a critical point. Shyla walks through the next phase of the investigation — including law enforcement involvement, conflicting conclusions, and the delays that followed. What should have been a turning point instead became a moment where progress slowed, evidence was questioned, and difficult decisions were made. This chapter of the case reveals the emotional toll of waiting, the frustration of unanswered questions, and the reality many families face when the path forward becomes uncertain. As the search reached its limits, the case stood at a crossroads — with more questions than answers, and no clear indication of what would happen next.A special thank you to Charlotte's grandaughter, Shyla for partnering with me for this episode. If you have any information about Charlotte's case please contact:Rochester Police Department: 585-428-6595You can remain anonymous.Your tip could be the one that finally brings justice to Charlotte, and brings answers to her family. You can also find additional case information via The Charley Project:https://charleyproject.org/case/charlotte-heimannConnect with Shyla & Follow Charlotte's Case:Charlotte Heimann Facebook GroupConnect with me on social:Instagram: @jenriverainvestigatiesFacebook: Jen Rivera InvestigatesYouTube: @jenriverainvestigatesVisit my website: jenriverainvestigates.com Case Uncovered is a part of the non-profit The Reignited Project. The Search For Charlotte Heimann: Part 1
In this 2 part episode, we revisit the disappearance of Charlotte Heimann, a case that has lingered in silence for years. This is not a retelling of Charlotte’s original disappearance. This is an update, one driven by persistence, determination, and the refusal to accept unanswered questions. I’m joined by Charlotte’s granddaughter, Shyla, who has been digging for answers, following leads, and pushing for action when the system stalled. In Part One, Shyla shares what led her to take a closer look at her grandmother’s case, and how independent investigation, modern tools, and outside professionals began pointing back to the same area. This episode walks through the early stages of the renewed search and what happened as new information started to surface.Part Two is available now and continues this investigation...A special thank you to Charlotte's grandaughter, Shyla for partnering with me for this episode.
