Andres D. Parga, Celina Dubin, Donald Rudikoff Drug-Induced Phototoxicity in Vitiligo The Role of Hydrochlorothiazide in Photosensitivity Dermatitis
Drug-Induced Phototoxicity in Vitiligo: The Role of Hydrochlorothiazide in Photosensitivity Dermatitis. Dr. Celina Dubin, MD, is a resident physician in dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She co-authored this study, which was published in Case Reports in Dermatological Medicine. The study examines the impact of hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic commonly used as an antihypertensive agent, in photosensitivity dermatitis, a multifactorial condition characterized by an exaggerated cutaneous response to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, often exacerbated by exogenous agents, particularly photosensitizing medications. This case highlights the need to recognize drug-induced photosensitivity in vitiligo and to better understand how UV vulnerability and photosensitizing medications interact. Celina Dubin MD - Objective Evaluation Of Skin Sensitivity Across Fitzpatrick Skin Types
Skin sensitivity may be best defined as self-reported intolerance to application of skincare products. It is commonly believed that individuals with darker skin are generally less sensitive, while those lighter skin are more sensitive. However, there is little objective data correlating sensitivity with skin type or with objective measures of sensitivity.

Suppression of Inflammation & Improved Epidermal Barrier Markers In Atopic Dermatitis Patients.
Moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) has been associated with significant disease burden and systemic abnormalities and often requires systemic treatments. Currently, safe and effective oral systemic treatments for moderate-to-severe AD are not yet available. ASN002 is an oral inhibitor of the Janus kinase/spleen tyrosine kinase signaling pathways, targeting several cytokine axes (T2/T22/T17/T1) and epidermal differentiation.
