Episode 19: Do we even have a culture?
Welcome back sweet soul, This week I want to start the conversation around culture; do we have one, does it matter and can we create lasting changes? This topic is something that I have been thinking about for a while now, especially after the global situation that happened three years ago. The past few year, I gave myself permission to ask hard questions such as: - How do you REALLY want to live your life? - What are your fear REALLY costing you? I have started taking small intentional steps to create the life I truly want to live, but its been a roller coaster of a ride. I am no where close to where I want to be, but I have learned to celebrate and embrace the current season of life we are living as a family and take time to be grateful for all the abundance we already have.

Episode 18- What should school really look like?
How was your time in school? For me it was filled with a variety of feelings such as: anxiety, inadequacy, envy and self consciousness. I did get a few moments of fun and good memories; although some seem a bit trivial and fake or meaningless now looking back. This episode gives you a glimpse of my dream vision for the learning experience our kids could live. Would love to hear your thoughts about this topic. How did you feel when you were in school? What lessons did you learn through osmosis or unconsciously?

Episode 17- Finding your Purpose; such a double edged sword
Welcome back sweet soul, Life happened and our family had to deal with a few events, which is why I took a break from posting episodes. But I am back! :) Todays episode is my take on the whole personal development rhetoric around finding your purpose. For as long as I can remember, I have been waiting for a big sign: the skies to part, a bright light to shine upon me and a voice telling me what my purpose is. After more than a decade on my personal growth journey, this still has never happened LOL. The personal development world is filled with some many insightful and inspirational information, but I have come to realize that it can also be the source of anxiety, fear, shame and guilt that is keeping us back and feeling like we are not achieving anything. I would love to hear your thoughts on this episode. - If this episode has helped you in any way, please feel free to share it on social media to spread the love and inspiration. - If you have any topic ideas of what you would like me to discuss, please send them my way. Wishing you an amazing week.

Episode 16- Wounded woman vs awakened woman... why should you care?
Welcome back beautiful soul :) During my personal growth and motherhood journey, I used to feel like I was on a never ending rollercoaster; constantly in a state of bliss to fall into a sense of immense dissatisfaction.I used to berate myself for being ungrateful or unappreciative of this incredible life I was living. I would believe that something must be wrong with me if I could appreciate the small things and be thankful for my countless blessings. Through introspection and sitting in the discomfort, I realized that I was living some values, beliefs or behaviours that we not right for me. Ive come to understand that socialization has created the perfect environment of endless second guessing our true selves and heighten the disconnect from our body & intuition as a way to oppress and control. The importance of creating a balance in the world between feminine and masculine energy has never been more important. The feminine energy fights with her heart as a way to help everyone, especially during these times of global, national and communal transition. If women were to stand together and raise the level of energy by stepping into her greatness and giving permission for others to do the same; imagine the ripple effect of change and love that would be created. As always, please share this episode with others (if you feel called to do so), leave a review and reach out if you want to chat. I love to witness and celebrate your journey.

Episode 15- Personal growth journey: Creating a life you LOVE
Welcome beautiful soul, This short episode explores some of the stepping stones I've had to overcome in my personal growth journey and what I am currently experimenting with. Personally, I find that personal growth has become an oversaturated subject in the self-help world. So why do I feel called to share with you on this topic? I have been on this journey now for over 15 years and the most transformational realization I've had has is this: YOU are the only person who can help you create the life you love. You are your greatest source of inspiration, passion and information in this growth and awakening journey. BUT, you have to be willing to sit with yourself in the darkness (or in my case, the burnout pit). You have to sit in the discomfort to shed all the conditioning and the limiting beliefs or stories that consume your mind. So in this episode, I will share some of my personal struggles and the action steps and the awareness I've gained on this journey. If this episode resonated with you, please give it a 5 star review and share it with people who might benefit from this perspective. Share it on your stories to get the word out as well ;)

Episode 14- Unschooling: the myths and the realities
Welcome beautiful soul, Unschooling has always received such a bad reputation; I even remember having my own critical judgement on this educational approach. Most people think of unschooling are children without any structure running completely free and doing nothing to become constructive and responsible individuals. I want to address some of the misconceptions but also paint the picture of what true education could be if we embraced a different way of teaching/learning. This different way of learning only necessitate small daily intentional actions to create the greatest impact. If this episode resonates with you, I would love for you to share this with as many people to get a conversation started. As always, if you have any thoughts or questions, please send them my way. I love to address your questions, or any concerns or preoccupations you might have, especially if you are thinking of an alternative way to educate your child.

Episode 13- Educators & Parents roles in education
Hello beautiful soul :) This episode gives a brief outlook on the daily reality of our kids school day, but from the teachers perspective. It also explores our purpose as parents (in an unconventional way). Educators/ teachers get a bad rap in today society and are easily blamed for a situation that isn't of their own making. Parents are overworked and also under supported. We always hear the saying "It takes a village to raise a child" but we rarely have access to this said village. But who pays the ultimate price for the lack of true leadership and desire to innovate in the education sector: OUR KIDS!! If you liked the content, please share this episode. And as always, please feel free to reach out if this episode has sparked a desire to discuss this further.

Episode 12- Socializing in current public schools
This is the number 1 thing I get asked about our homeschooling journey: what about socializing? Don't your kids miss being with kids of their own age? Sometimes they do, but for the most part, my kids are at peace being able to learn at home. They realized how toxic the social environment in school was for them and their level of anxiety, frustration and emotional outburst has dramatically gone down since we made the transition. Most of us already know that our kids are not ok. The rate of mental health issues and bullying are constantly going up in our public schools and in our communities. The lack of proper resources or help for parent is also making the problem worst. But I am here to share a few mind shifts that helped me guide my kids to a better sense of self-esteem. Are they going to magically fix every problem, of course not. They are only meant to start a conversation around the beliefs and the pressure we have for ourselves as parents and for our kids. This episode isn't meant to make you feel worst, but to inspire you to think about your child education (and success) in a way that is much more authentic to who we are all individually.

Episode 11- 5 Contributors to our kids education
Welcome to the beginning of our education series. It is so hard to figure out the best way to get this conversation started since our kids education encompasses such a broad and varied topics to discuss. I decided to start with a general description of the 5 major contributors to our kids education and discuss the contributor that is mostly neglected but has the most influence/impact on our kids learning journey: the learning environment and the culture it fosters/creates. As always, if this message resonated with you and you feel someone else could benefit from this episode, please share it with your friends. You can also tag me in your stories and I am looking forward to keep this conversation going. Episode 10- Life Updates and a few lessons learned along the way
These last few months have been emotionally and mentally challenging for me and my family. Which is part of the reason why I decided to step away from social media for a bit. We've had some unexpected curves balls thrown our way, but even through the uncertainty; we managed to grow stronger as a family unit. Life will always be full of ebbs and flows, darkness and light and how you choose to act in these moments will help define you and grow you into your highest self. You are the creator of your life. - How you think creates your reality. - How you love on yourself in a moment of challenge will help learning the life lessons the Universe is trying to teach you. - How you ground yourself in moments of uncertainty will help avoid the major rollercoaster of emotions, as will taking the time to sit with the discomfort. How are you REALLY doing lately?

Episode 9- Living our light
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us" -Marianne Williamson- By playing small, we start to live a life that is not our own. By playing small, we are conforming to the social conditioning and fall into the commercialized ideology that happiness is outside ourselves. By playing small, we are creating the world we are currently living in; which is falling apart at the seams because of manipulation, greed, entitlement, ungratefulness, etc. By playing small, we are numbing our life away. By playing small, we are living on borrowed time and not really living. When we realize that we are "powerful beyond measure", this requires us to take a hard look in the mirror and re-examine what we are choosing. And that is uncomfortable, but so necessary to create the changes you want to see. After all, " Whatever you are not changing, you are choosing". It is time to celebrate those who are showing up for themselves and as their true selves. Those who are sitting in the discomfort and learning from their hard times. It is time to step into our light and live in our light to encourage others to do the same. We are love and light.

Episode 8- The magic of a Sisterhood
Who else has been told growing up that girls are just mean? Who else is sick and tired of doing life alone? Who else has a deep calling in her soul for building a sense of community with no strings attached, where everyone can come as they are, feel seem, loved and appreciated? The past year, life has attracted some amazing women into my life. Some I only connect with on social media, while others we connect in person for energy raising discussions and support. There are amazing women out there and I am in such a better head & heart space because of these women. Of course, there is some individual work that needs to happen, but when you surround yourself with women who witness you, listen to you and cheer you on all while you also are that person to someone else, the level of fulfillment and love you have exponentially grows. If this tugs at your heart, please listen in as I share parts of my journey but also a few ways that you can also connect with other like-minded women if you want to create an intentional and authentic life, living fully in your own beauty and power.

Episode 7- Labels and social conditioning of women
This episode has been such a labour of love for my personal growth journey, and still requires intentional dialogues and loads of introspection. It has triggered the hell out of me and caused some much heated discussions with my loved ones. But, this conversation is an important one to have if we are to change the discussion around trying to redefine what it means to be a woman. It is also important to realize that the feeling of not being enough has been a result of the social conditioning and the constant living in a state of fear. Human beings also have a need to label everything to create a sense of "understanding" when in reality, we aren't here to know everything in this specific and distorted way. Our journey becomes magical and truly meaningful when we disassociate with all the socially constructed labels and just see ourselves (and others) as living beings. Observation and curiosity will always go further than trying to fit everyone in a clearly defined box. And that is a way to create a ripple effect of change. Book discussed: Witch by Lisa Lister

Episode 6- Feminine Energy (our menstrual cycle)
This episode is the first of a monthly series on the topic of: Feminine Energy Where do we even begin with such a taboo topic? It is a well know fact that when a girl starts her periods, she has now stepped into "womanhood". But what does that even meant, other than the trusted caution: "be careful, now you can get pregnant"? Society has caused great shame around this transition and from this shame, women experience a disconnect from their own feminine energy. This episode identifies side effects of the current social discussion of menstruation but also explores ways in which we can slowly step into our feminine energy once again. This coming back home into our bodies must be lived and taught to the next generation if we are to regain a sense of balance in the world. Books discussed in this episode: - Code Red by Lisa Lister - Do Less by Kate Northrup Also, if this topic interests you, keep an eye out for a new project coming soon for the people in my community ;) Wishing you all an amazing day and a life full of magic.

Episode 5- Holistic Health
What is holistic health and why is it so important that we start discussing it? Holistic health is the ability to look at your health in a big picture way. This big picture can then be defined as 8 important facets that we need to address in order to become our best version/ higher self. 8 facets of holistic health are the following: - physical - nutritional - emotional - social - intellectual - spiritual - financial - environmental This conversation is an invitation to explore your our life and your level of health, not just by how much you weight or what you look like, but how you are setting boundaries, creating and following a family budget, building strong relationships and surrounding yourself with great people and so much more. As always, I am looking forward to starting a conversation and embracing this journey called life with you. Here is to living more intentionally and according to your deepest desires.

Episode 4- Importance of Great Relationships
Welcome beautiful soul, This episode is all about the importance of great relationships in your life and how to create/attract them in your life. I am by far not an expert on this subject, but I have realized a few things necessary to create meaningful relationships and the importance of having strong relationships in your life. In this episode we will discuss the skills we need to develop strong relationships and how we can then use these to help us in creating our best life ever. A few books that helped me on this learning journey - 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman - Personality Plus by Florence Littauer - Tribe by Seth Godin - 8 rules of love by Jay Shetty - Developing the Leader Within You by John C. Maxwell - The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz

Episode 3- The true purpose of education
Welcome back my beautiful souls This episode has been in the making for more than 10 years. My journey through personal development and motherhood has really helped me redefine what education for our kids should be and the necessity to expose parents to the "real" things our kids are actually learning in school. The current school system is actually not helping them to become the successful and happy adults we all want our children to become. Fair warning that my ideas might not be everyones cup of tea, but that is totally ok. In this episode, we will look at the current school system structure and where it came from. We will also discuss the current results vs real life necessity. Looking forward to starting a great conversation with you about this topic that has been a passion of mine. Please reach out and let me know what your thoughts are about all of this as well.

So lets talk about labels, our moon cycles, our connection to the divine and so much more. Here are a few books I mentioned in the episode and other reading suggestions that helped me on my journey: - Burning Woman by Lucy H. Pearce - If Women rose Rooted by Sharon Blackie - Code Red by Lisa Lister - Witch by Lisa Lister - Wild Feminine by Tami Lynn Kent - Do Less by Kate Northrup - The Dance of the Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd - Pussy A Reclamation by Regena Thomashauer - Women, Food and God by Geneen Roth - Broken Open by Elizabeth Lesser - Playing Big by Tara Mohr - The Awakened Woman by Dr. Tererai Trent
