Finale With Our Graduating Seniors | Episode 14

This week on Cherry Street Chat, it's... the last week of Cherry Street Chat. Not forever, but for a while. We've got a new host lined up, and after his dramatic introduction, we get into an interview with our graduating seniors here at The Spectator. Austin, Caleb, Chloe, Daniel, Madi, and Zam sit down to chat with next year's podcast host, Diego Dumlao, and next year's Editor-in-Chief of The Spectator, Leila Bunker. This is a record-breaking episode for us: the most guests in a single episode, the longest episode ever, and it also cements Zam Ortega as the person with the most guest appearances on Cherry Street Chat. Don't miss Zam's INCREDIBLE animated Cherry Street Chat logo right at the start. It is amazing and so are they. This one was a little emotional but unfortunately (maybe for some, mercifully) our camera had an issue this episode and cut out the last 15 minutes or so. This is a special episode (though every one is special to us) and we thank you for watching it. See you next time on Cherry Street.Cherry Street Chat is a weekly podcast series hosted by the Seattle Spectator. This week on Cherry Street Chat, we have two very special guests: Zam Ortega and Ian Van Eeuwen. These two are very special to us because they are fans of Cherry Street Chat! Our first fans. How lovely. Anyways, I've buried the lede; Zam is also very beloved by all of us at Cherry Street Chat because she is The Spectator's Lead Designer and created the adorable cherry logo you see at the beginning, end, and middle of every episode! Did you ever notice the little hearts in the cherries? So cute. Zam and Ian are fourth-year design majors who came on the show to promote their upcoming design exhibition, Layer By Layer. They are the co-directors of the exhibition. We also have a spectacular Pictionary segment at the end... this is one of my favorites that we've done so far.Layer By Layer opens April 24 with a reception from 4:30-7:30pm at the Vachon Gallery at Seattle University.
