Intro (Yoshi's Island) - 8bit Mix
Welcome to Dinosaur Land. This is a short, warming intro for what's to come! There are 14 tracks in total for this album which will be released gradually over the next month, starting today with this track. The next will arrive Monday 30th April. See the Famitracker composition of this track on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7h5n2D1X8Q This is a chiptune/8-bit take on the infamous Yoshi's Island adventure intro. Everything I hear this, I get chills down my spine. I hope to have kept this effect in the retrofied version. Original composition © Koji Kondo / Nintendo. This is a free album to flex my muscles in Famitracker and is non-commercial.

Wings That Cross Time - Chrono Trigger
My first remix of a Chrono Trigger track! If you love time traveling RPGs then...well, this is the one for you! This theme comes from when you're flying the Epoch. Ironically, I find the original track rather timeless... If you wish to use any of the tracks in another creative work (video, sampled) then please just ask! Silence - F-Zero
I finally enter the land of F-Zero! I really wanted to add more 'beats' to this track, so here's my interpretation of that! If you wish to use any of the tracks in another creative work (video, sampled) then please just ask! Watch the Famitracker composition on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_7HuPDZuFI

Spinach Rag - Final Fantasy VI
How about a rag for a change!? This one comes from Final Fantasy VI, when you are walking about the Opera House. It just sounded so cheerful in contract to the previous track that I had to do it! If you wish to use this in another creative work, please let me know! Watch the Famitracker composition on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROqSJ5inEaE

Hyrule Castle - Zelda Series
Let's begin the second album with a big number! I bring you my variant of Hyrule Castle, originally heard from Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. This track could've been interpreted in so many ways...in fact, Nintendo have done plenty themselves. I decided to give it more of an action feel to it. It's also the first time I've properly played with pitch bending! If you wish to use any of the tracks in another creative work (video, sampled) then please just ask! RGB - Stopping in Town
One of my earlier tracks which has been sitting in the RGB folder for a while, doing not a lot. I decided to 'brush it up a little' and post it here. It's a simple background 'town music'.

SEGA Master System JP BIOS 2.1 (Space Harrier)
This was a monolith of a track for me to pull together in Famitracker, but it is done! This is essentially a remix of a remix...originally from Space Harrier. This remix is based on the variant used in the Japanese Master System BIOS v2.1, where the tune is much cleaner, and personally, easier listening. If you wish to use this music as part of something else, just ask! I don't bite :) Watch the Famitracker composition on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGH0kThBB-4

Hyperlink Heroes (v1)
This is the first intro for Blitcast's new show, Hyperlink Heroes, as hosted by Austin, Greg and Stephen. As veteran broadcasters from Radio Nintendo, they set out on a new adventure through InternetLand.

RGB - Boss Pursuit
RGB is my soon-to-be first "OST" album for a make-believe video game, where I mix in pure chiptune to remember the simpler days of games. This one is a bit more intense than the other two I put on SoundCloud so far, but you know, some games need the intensity! This is also the first track where I've used the 'popping' effect. Earlier iterations had too many of them (I got over-excited about them...) but I think there's just about enough in this one! If you wish to use this track in any way, please just ask. I don't bite!

RGB - Strolling the Hills
RGB is my soon-to-be first "OST" album for a make-believe video game, where I mix in pure chiptune to remember the simpler days of games. Not the first track in my new OST, but certainly one that I was happy to release first. This one is inspired by the earlier adventure games on the NES, none in particular. It's more of an amalgamation. If you wish to use this track in any way, please just ask. I don't bite!

RGB - Fairground
Not the first track in my new 'OST', but certainly one that I was happy to release first. This is a simple yet cheerful interpretation of what I would hear as 'fairground' music in a video game. RGB is my soon-to-be first OST album for a make-believe video game, where I mix in pure chiptune to remember the simpler days of games. If you wish to use this track in any way, please just ask. I don't bite!

The Game Skip Season 1 Theme
A piece composted in Famitracker for the initial series of The Game Skip. I wanted to keep it basic and cheerful to start things off! This track was used in the ending of Season 1, which mixes all the shorter tracks together which were used throughout the series.

K.K. Bossa (Chiptune Mix) - Animal Crossing
K. K. Bossa is a track original found in the Animal Crossing series. Here is my rendition of it through Chiptune. All feedbacks are welcome! See the Famitracker composition here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTFzwmISZKc

Special Stage 2 (8 Bit Mix) - Sonic Heroes
The first chiptune I've put together which wasn't Nintendo-related. I wanted to experiment on 'retrofying' something faster and more complex, and came across this in my music archive. So, gave it a go! Watch the Famitracker composition on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jraCy9z2Aik

Overworld Theme (Night) - Super Mario World
After being overly pre-occupied as a software engineer, I finally grabbed my MIDI keyboard and Famitracker again to do something slightly different with chiptunes. Only slightly, though. Inspired by the variants found for the Nintendoland Plaza theme, I worked towards making this well known Super Mario World track into a slower, swing, night-themed piece. This is the result! Outer Rings - Kirby's Epic Yarn
Listen to the full 'Retro Version v1.0' for free right here on SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/gyoshimusic/sets/retro-version-v1-0 If I had a 2018 take on this track, it would sound like this: https://soundcloud.com/chiptogram/wonderful-world-of-wool-6-yoshis-woolly-world-8bitmix This was the most complex chiptune I put back in 2012, or at least it sounded it at the time. Still having fallen in love with faster tracks, I tried to dissect the original found in Kirby's Epic Yarn and worked from there. A lot of this track was complete guesswork as I didn't find anyone doing this in chiptune mode online. Title Theme - New Super Mario Bros. Wii
I jumped back to a faster track to 'chiptunify'. After finally understanding Famitracker's tools a little better, I was more easily able to loop certain patterns, and cut some short. The joys of gaining experience! See the Famitracker composition on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LtKr9xoE78

Linebeck's Theme - Zelda Series
The second practise run in Famitracker turned out like so. I explored a slower track to see if I can work with it. Here's the result. See the Famitracker composition on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dSSwWrJ5HQ

Flower Garden - Yoshi Touch and Go
This is a practise run in Famitracker to understand the software back in 2012. This was the first thing to make it through the door in full! I chose Yoshi Touch and Go because Yoshi is still be favourite video game character after all these years. Watch the Famitracker composition on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUola833G7k
