Class of 99 Podcast

The podcast for the other 99.9% of us. Who work for a living. Who know what a W-2 looks like. Who have stories to tell. Host, William Chiriguayo--a doctoral candidate at Harvard University, with proud "working-class" roots--talks about the unique experiences we all share to go from "ordinary people" to "extra-ordinary people." That is, the hard work most of us put in to improve ourselves and our families. Whether that's at a quote-unquote "elite" university, behind a desk at an office, on a so-called "blue collar" worksite, and everywhere else in between, we all have our stories. And now there's a place to tell them--and, just as importantly, hear them. (NOTE: For pertinent legal disclosures and compliance matters visit this page)

Getting Swatted by Two Idiots at Harvard (Part 2)

[S1E3] William tells Part 2 of his story of being "swatted" (having a false report called into 9-1-1) by two drunk, or possibly high, idiots--who are also Harvard students. In this Part 2 of the story, we learn about some of the serious consequences (many lingering to this day) of the actions, misstatements (lies), and outright crimes committed by these students. Worse still, we learn about some of the serious financial, academic, professional, medical, reputational, and worse consequences from Harvard's actions (or inactions) in the wake of this clear-as-day violations of its own published "Code of Conduct" and of local and state law. This is a story for the ages--and the foundation of many stories to come (Harvard- and non-Harvard related) . Thanks for tuning in to Part 2. Enjoy, and share, like, and comment. And, of course, share your own stories about being part of the "Class of 99"--fighting the uphill battle against the "Harvards" of the world, whether that's a university, any job, or any corporate monster. Like, Follow, and Share. Getting Swatted by Two Idiots at Harvard (Part 1)

[S1E2] In this episode, William tells his story of being "swatted" (having a false report called into 9-1-1) by two drunk, or possibly high, idiots--who are also Harvard students. In this Part 1 of the story, we hear about the circumstances that led up to him having guns pointed into his back by 10 to 12 overzealous Harvard (HUPD) and Cambridge (CPD) police officers who had knocked down his door and tackled him, in his own home--at 2:30 in the morning--based on the transparent lies of two audibly and visibly intoxicated schmucks. We also learn the spotty and strange details, as they unfolded to him that night. This is a story for the ages. But be sure to come back for Part 2, where we hear how much worse those circumstances--and lingering consequences--of this "POS move" by the parties at fault (in their own voices) and by Harvard University leadership were and, to a big extent, still are to this day.Like, Follow, and Share. Brian Thompson, Mom Compliments, and Taking the Plunge

In our inaugural episode, William introduces the origins and inspiration for this podcast, its name, and its general goals--mainly that it will evolve with our listeners' input and the stories we tell one another. We briefly tackle the issue of being new at podcasting (after debating the idea of doing one for 13+ years), that whole United Healthcare CEO thing, and getting compliments from your mom. THIS IS OUR FIRST SWING AT THIS. So judge, but not too harshly. The next episodes--some already "in the can"--are definitely a lot better. Source: Trust me, bro.Like, Follow, and Share.
