Rural folks are usually associated with big trucks, farms, and red-hatted MAGA zealots. While more diverse than we think, rural areas are infamously known for voting conservative most of the time. Why is this the case? Exactly how diverse are rural areas? Is it possible to break the Republican stronghold there? Listen as Eric seeks to explore these questions while making the case why more progressives should spend their energy, time, and resources energizing voters in rural communities.

The United States has been shaken up by Immigrations & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents tearing through cities to detain, assault, and violently harass suspected undocumented immigrants. Their descent onto Minneapolis, MN has been met with intense violence and destruction, leading to the deaths of multiple American citizens and sparking mass protests and civil unrest. Who is responsible? Where do we go from here? What are our rights? Eric wrestles with these questions and discusses the recent events unfolding in real time.

The trans community remains the center of countless culture war issues. From sports, to bathrooms, to if the community should even exist, too much is said about how trans people fit into our society. While there has been positive representation over the last few years, a slew of individuals have dug themselves into a hole of intolerance, becoming victims of misinformation, fearmongering, and an inability to value the lives of transgender siblings. In this episode, Eric attempts to get to the root, explaining how these attitudes manifest and hopefully adding a substantial contribution to the conversation.
