While we were out in MA we had to record an episode with Ned & Jan Niemiec. Ned has had a lifelong career in the draft horse world. We hear his start in the industry, how he and Jan met, and their experiences in life. Thanks to these two wonderful people for the amazing hospitality on our trip out east.

Christy & Kayle sit down with the co-chairs of the 2026 National Clydesdale Sale for an update about the upcoming sale.

The interview covers the history of Hallamore Clydesdales, how Barry first chose the breed for parade promotion, and stories from his half-century involvement with draft horses. We finish our conversation with Dennis Barry & Ned Niemiec. Dennis talks about a few more stories of purchasing horses, along with how the Hallamore Corporation came to be. Christy & Kayle Flew out last week to get a bucket list interview with Mr. Dennis Barry. Since the inception of this podcast he was an interview that was needed. Dennis has giving the majority of his life to the Clydesdale Horse as they were an advertiser of his business. Hallamore Corporation started out as a horse drawn livery business in Brockton, When Dennis took over Hallamore Corp. he thought it would be a great thing to have a pair of horses and a wagon to use in parades for promotion. I don't think at that time he thought it would be a 50+ year venture with the Clydesdale Horse. We find out how they got started in the Clydesdales, what they do for a living and what Draft Horse Experiences they have had along the way! We sat down at Indiana State Fair to talk about some Clydes! We talk about shoeing, breaking, soundness and judging! Chip Lawrence showed Clydes for Jason Hunter for about 10 years. Bryant Hagemann, shod several Clydes and broke several for outside customers. Kyle Savage grew up with Clydesdales and has helped out other Clyde outfits. We had the opportunity to sit down with Ray & Amber McLaughlin and Crissy Heatlie to hear about their history with the Clydesdale horse. We discuss some of the show highlights and some history of the Heatlie breeding history. This family plans on attending the 2025 WCS and will always be at the Royal Winter Fair! Christy & Kayle sat down with the Johnson Family of Springfield, IL while at the 2025 National Clydesdale Sale. We find out how they got their start in the Clydesdale Breed! Having the conversation at the IL State Fairgrounds was kind of serendipitous since it is where Dennis & Linda met and when on their first date! Dennis served on the Clydesdale Breeder's Board of Directors for 21 Years! Dennis & Linda still serve on the National Sale Committee. We would like to also congratulate Grant on being elected to the Board of Directors following this interview. The takeaway from this episode was to Not Dive a Volvo near the arena while halter horses are being shown and Linda Johnson is anywhere in the area!
