Sabbatical or Suicide, which is the name of my first podcast (also available at CoffeeWithKam.com) was the beginning of everything we are doing here - TOGETHER - at Coffee With Kam today. From the moment the idea for that show dropped from my destiny and into my soul, 11 years ago exactly, I knew it was the beginning of something exceptional and most importantly, something far beyond myself. I'm so grateful that I didn't have a clue then... of the amount of struggle, doubt, fear, pain and self betrayal that I would still need to experience, to fully bring that destiny to life. And, I'd go through it all again...for the gift of getting to be a part of watching each of you continue to find each other, and this precious space that is Coffee with Kam - Unfiltered, the space where we don't have to look or act or be any other way than exactly as we are, right now, together in today. Here at Coffee, showing up with each and every one of the perfectly imperfect pieces of ourselves - fully and completely, it's not just OKAY, it's the ONLY way, it's the BEAN WAY!In 2023, I quit building this community...not because I wanted to, but because i chose booze and the false security of a woman who claimed to love me... over myself. Thank the lesbian Gods I did. Sometimes in life, it is what feels like our very worst decisions, our most painful experiences that ultimately are the very things required to reveal the only door that actually leads to our destiny. The irony is, she did everything in her power to destroy me and all she actually did was light the only path that would lead me to the courage, the confidence and the motivation to pick my ass up, to get sober, to tell my pride to F- Off and to humbly come back and try again at the ONE thing in my entire life that I have never wanted to quit. That thing is this, it's you, it's all of us here at Coffee With Kam. After 11 years of sharing my heart and soul with the world for free and 48 years of telling myself I suck, I recently decided to launch PRIVATE content because: A) I would really like to keep my house B) My days of giving any stranger, or any psycho ex, access to the intimate areas of my life - are over. C) I believe it's the truths we share that change the world, especially the hard ones. Silly content is fun, real content is my heart fuel.D) I'm worth it, and more importantly, so are you. Those of you who are willing to pay for access to me and to each other, are the kind of women, lesbians & Q human beings that I actually want to get to know. You're also the ones who are going to find fast friends and fall in love with each other here at Coffee, because...well, you're a little off, you've got a great sense of humor, you love authenticity and you're absolutely wonderful. You might not totally believe that yet, and that's ok. We'll show you.I am launching my Private Content - Coffee With Kam Unfiltered - because I'm not sure my braless, inside out tank tops covered in cat hair add much value to my content. I mean you can watch them, but in podcast form you will also be able to easily find and listen anytime and anywhere. Coffee With Kam Unfiltered, is going to be a real and raw unfolding journey happening in real time. It is not going to to have the bells and whistles of fine tune editing, scripting around audio files and 80 hours of work for every episode you hear. Some episodes will be long, rambling and frankly probably impossible to follow. Others will be inspiring, short and concise. All of them will be the truth. My long-term vision here, is to invite you beans on as guests. To provide the space I envisioned when I started Sabbatical or Suicide, the space and platform for YOU to share your stories too. I can't wait to hear them. So stay tuned and don't feel bad if you don't like my private content. Me unedited and unfiltered, is a largely different experience from Kam edited and presented in 2 minutes or less, ha!Episode 1 of Coffee With Kam - Unfiltered is free.
