Collab Chats

The Temple University Collaborative's "Collab Chats" is a podcast series focused that introduces listeners to our research and its goal of increasing opportunities for individuals with mental illnesses to live and participate in the community. This podcast features work from the Temple University Collaborative as well as research from other NIDILRR funded Rehabilitation Research and Training Centers. The Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion for Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities, a research and training center located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, is dedicated to the full and meaningful participation of individuals with serious mental illnesses. Funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), the content of these podcasts does not constitute its endorsement or recommendation by the US Federal Government, HHS, the ACL, or NIDILRR.

    Episode 8: "Amplifying the Voices of Students with Mental Health Issues" with Lindsay Metzker

    In Collab Chats Episode 8, Kyra Baker talks with Lindsay Metzker about the development of “From You, I Get the Story: Amplifying the Voices of Students with Mental Health Issues on College Campuses.” This document brings more than 50 student voices to the forefront to help college faculty, administrators, and staff better understand and serve students with significant mental health issues.

    Episode 3 Dr. Gretchen Snethen and Brandon Snead

    Dr. Gretchen Snethen and Mr. Brandon Snead discuss a recent bike program they conducted. The Temple University Collaborative recently led four bike pilot programs for consumers of mental healthcare services in Philadelphia. Providers, consumers, bikeshare representatives, and bike advocacy groups worked with us to develop and run groups. Everyone seemed as excited as us throughout the process
