On 14 November 2017 the Centre for Science and Policy held a public talk on communicating uncertainty. Chaired and hosted by Sir David Spiegelhalter, Winton Professor of the Public Understanding of Risk in the Statistical Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, guest speakers included; Amanda Farnsworth, Head of Visual and Data Journalism, BBC News; Emily Miles, Group Director, Strategy in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs; and Sir David Norgrove, Chair of the UK Statistics Authority.
