Cottage at Marehaven
by Mary Hahn Ward
Hello! We are so glad to be here. Tom and I have talked about doing a podcast together for some time now. We created the actual Cottage at Marehaven, not the podcast because we dreamed of doing this many years ago. It looks different than it did in those dreams, a lot different, and maybe just the name stuck is what happened. And maybe the overall feel of what this Cottage would feel like stuck too...yes, definitely this. We will share our story over time. Tom has been living with ALS for more than thirteen years. It is a long time to be living with this disease. Maybe he is on borrowed time. Maybe he is on the time he is supposed to be on. Either way, he lives a life of gratitude and has for many, many years and has no regrets and neither do I. We will talk about the highs and the lows, and, oh my, there have been lows, and how we manage to get through, or over, or under, the most difficult of challenges. I have become more resilient because of this man.
