Sarah Boone Suitcase Murder: The Death of Jorge Torres Jr.
Police say it was a drunken game of hide-and-seek that went terribly wrong. But investigators quickly discovered evidence that told a very different story. In February 2020, 42-year-old Jorge Torres Jr. was found dead inside a suitcase in a Winter Park, Florida apartment. His girlfriend, Sarah Boone, claimed it was an accident — saying the two had been drinking and playing a game when she fell asleep and woke to find him dead. But video recovered from her phone showed something investigators say contradicted that story. In this episode, we walk through the timeline of events, the evidence police uncovered, the interrogation, the courtroom defense, and the final verdict that led to a life sentence. This is the suitcase murder case of Sarah Boone and Jorge Torres Jr.
