We aim to spread an understanding of these experiences and the solutions our guests have used to overcome their challenges. Our hope is that by giving listeners the opportunity to reflect on how health and illness shape our lives, we can become better prepared to make personal and societal choices regarding our health and care.

    ICU Doctor & Life After the ICU - Dr. Gordon Boyd

    What happens after an ICU stay? A stay in the ICU can dramatically change patients and their families. In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Gord Boyd a neurologist, critical care physician, and researcher. We'll discuss the teamwork that it takes to treat patients within the ICU, how best to communicate with families, and what it looks like to recover after an ICU stay. We'll also discuss their research in the Cerebral Oxygenation and Neurological Outcomes Following Critical Illness Program (CONFOCAL study).
