    CUSA Spring Sports Roundup + Interview with Missouri State’s Casey Woods

    The climax of the Spring sports calendar is upon us. On today’s program Josh Yonis and Eric Jones get you up to speed on everything happening with CUSA Golf, Tennis, Baseball, Softball and even Football. Liberty (Women) and Middle Tennessee (Men) brought home championship hardware on the tennis courts last week, kicking off what should be a thrilling sequence of addition CUSA Championship events. Both diamond sports are heating up as teams across the league are looking to punch their ticket to the CUSA Softball and Baseball Championships. This episode also features an exclusive interview with the newest CUSA Football Coach, Casey Woods from Missouri State. Coach Woods provides his short time so far in Springfield, and offers fans his perspective on this Spring, and what his expectations are for the 2026 campaign.

    We’ve got a loaded episode for you today. To start, Josh Yonis and Elizabeth Kanzeg discuss Jacksonville State bringing home their second Bowling National Championship. The Gamecocks capped off their dominant season by bringing home their second trophy in three seasons. We also get you up to speed on everything happening on the diamonds. We’re three weeks away from the CUSA Softball Championship, and teams are battling for seeding. To close, we bring you an exclusive interview with Delaware Softball Catcher Sydney Shaffer. The Blue Hens have been racing up the standings as they continue to rack up wins. Sydney provides an inside look into the Blue Hens program, and shares her excitement to be able to play for a CUSA title on her home field.

    The sports calendar rolls on in the month of April, as things are heating up on the diamonds and on the lanes. Four CUSA Bowling Teams (Jax State, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State & Wichita State) are headed to Parma Heights, Ohio for a chance to win a National Championship this weekend (April 10-11). CUSA Softball and Baseball both carry some intriguing storylines as we rapidly approach the home stretch for both sports.
