We are happy to present you a very special set today. Our little story begins with our highlight of the festival season. As we unfortunately couldn't be at Fusion in person again this year, we listened relaxed to the live recordings on soundcloud. This set immediately captivated us with its groove and the heavy bounce stayed with us for days. We are happy that Katzenohr wanted to record such an energetic set for our series too. deep story nr. 209 | dance dance dance | by Stahler
I turn the old radio up to full volume and my foot starts to tap. Suddenly the familiar feeling sets in. Happiness hormones flood my body and my stomach tingles. My limbs break out of their dull, brain-controlled shadowy existence and gradually regain their autonomy. The rocking of my foot turns into the first tentative dance steps and my shame-induced resistance fades. A few seconds later, my movements are already flowing and follow an imagined choreography. My spontaneous outburst of enthusiasm paired with the loud music quickly attracts attention. The first people stop and watch with interest. Soon after, I have my first fellow performers on the large meadow that serves as our dance floor. The music attracts more and more passers-by in the park and the meadow gradually fills up. The feeling grows in me that I have attracted all these people with my joy and that they are now sharing it. An incredible euphoria spreads through my body and the spirit of actionism grows within me. Stahler aims to spread joy through creating lofty and floating dark disco & indie dance sounds. His melodic indie dance sets are appreciated for their danceable, yet wobbly and deep sounds infused with tasteful influences from the lively 80s, banging Italo Disco and solid dark disco tunes, covering wide electronic frequency terrains.

deep story nr. 208 | the magic of music | by Maltech
Nature pacifies my mind and my soul. I can breathe deeply and let go. The oppressive darkness slowly recedes and warmth rises within me. Inspired by this energy, I glide through the forest. Only slowly do the first thoughts come to me again. This time, however, they spread confidence and even joy. The driving force behind this burgeoning hope is the four-four beat drumming out of my headphones. It is the rhythms and melodies that drive me forward again. My old friend, music, is back in my thoughts and that feels damn good. Only now do I realize how much this elementary part of my life has faded into the background. All the events have so consumed me that I could no longer feel the music. But now it's fighting its way back beat by beat and exuding its original magic. Bringing people closer to joy through music is also the aim of our guest today. Embark on a journey through the bright side of being with the resident of the Berlin collective “Dit Klingt Jut” Maltech and enjoy the first gentle rays of sunshine of the year with a few well-chosen gems of electronic music.

deep story nr. 207 | hidden world | by Vemativ
There are still a few places on this planet which almost nobody has seen yet or which are even completely unspoilt by civilization. These remote areas often harbor extremely rare species of animals and plants and tickle the fantasy of some writers. One of these places is the Roraima Tepui, a table mountain with an elevation of 2810 meter, which is located on the frontier of 3 countries : Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. The first man to climb this mountain was a British explorer in the year 1884. Before that day, nobody had dared to venture into the area out of superstition. Back then, it was rumored that some extinct species of animals actually still lived on this table mountain. Although such a sensational discovery didn’t happen, it must have been an overwhelming feeling to be the very first human being to venture into this hidden world. Every step a new adventure, every exploration without road signs, admiring all these wonders of nature without capturing it with a selfie-stick. Of course the discovery of this unique world did not stay a secret for long. The news of this breathtaking expedition spread quickly and the author of Sherlock Holmes even brought dinosaurs to the Roraima Tepui, at least in his novel ‘The Lost World’. We still have one compelling question about this place : which noises are there to be heard in this remote spot? To answer that question, we think that nobody on this planet is better placed than Vemativ and in this deep story you’ll have the unique opportunity to discover the sound of this unspoilt part of our planet…

deep story nr. 206 | father ocean | by Ezio Aguiar
Father Ocean" is the fulfillment of a musical promise to humbly thank and honor the powerful and cathartic depths of the sea. A tale of a man in need of guidance who is called into the water and gets caught in a magnificent oceanic storm. Rain starts to pour down, washing away his penumbra by bringing discernment about what is not Love. Meanwhile, the waves hit him fiercely like the primal confrontation with his own shadow, making up the perfect scenario for him to amusingly research the depths of his core. By embracing his shadows and feeling the power of gravity on his shoulders, he understands he has been carrying the weight of his unconscious limiting beliefs. As they are brought to the light of awareness, they lose strength over him. This realization is so cathartic that the storm suddenly ceases, and the sun starts to shine again. As it always does... But this time it reminds him that, sometimes, Love shines brightest in the dark. So, he found his way back to the land. As he steps again on firm soil, he looks back at the ocean and bows in gratitude and reverence for having found the guidance he so much needed within himself. He then makes a promise and leaves, knowing the path he is to take. When listening to Ezio Aguiar's sets, regardless of tempo or genre, one notices a particular mysticism mixed with different organic, melodic and progressive elements. He would call himself a believer in the healing and connecting power of music and dance. And if you have ever caught him dancing with his eyes closed behind the decks, then you probably understand why. Enjoy our latest deep story with Ezio Aguiar.

deep story nr. 205 | just keep dancing | by Dosem
I find myself dancing in a colorful room. I can't see any walls anywhere and yet it feels like I'm inside a building. It seems as if the room is so big that you simply can't see the walls. Lights in all the colors of the rainbow are raining down from the ceiling. Well, actually, I can't really see the ceiling either. I just assume that there is a ceiling behind all the lights. The bodies of dozens of figures are moving around me, but no one seems to be interacting with me. No matter which way I turn, everyone has their backs to me as they twitch ecstatically to the music.I shrug my shoulders and just keep dancing. The exploration of the deeper side of techno by Dosem, since busting onto the scene almost 10 years ago, has seen him clock up countless air miles, release a string of hit club tracks and earn accolades from many of his peers, who deem him to be one of the most influential underground Spanish DJs in the scene today. The demand for Dosem's infusion of deep textured sounds, relentless precision drums and driving rhythms which make up his club cuts that are making dance floors shake the world over shows no sign of slowing. Enjoy the next hour of deep and dark music.

deep story nr. 204 | modern myths | by Pia Pan & Heyoka
Here are modern urban myths that stand the test of time and are considered unspoken truths. Nowhere written down, they are passed on from mouth to ear and only exist in people's heads. They persist and are part of the respective culture. There are also stories like this in the electro scene that fire people's imagination. The parties at Warehouse Chicago in the late 70s are considered the mother of all house parties. Animalistic scenes were said to have taken place there while Frankie Knuckles rained down his marathon sets on the crowd. Pure ecstasy rippled through the bodies of those present and the crowd was no longer made up of individuals, but was one big energy-filled being that had developed an uncontrollable life of its own. A movement emerged that anyone could belong to and which was referred to as "Jack" in later tracks. The urban legend of Jack is still used in tracks and mixtapes today. Of course, this is just one of many myths that have developed in electronic dance music. Perhaps with the deep story of Pia Pan & Heyoka we will be able to create a new modern myth that will bring people together again and let them melt into ecstasy. A mixtape that fires people's imagination and will be the subject of many myths in the future.

deep story nr. 203 | splashes of color | by Maria Theresia von Eberg
At the end of the year, things are known to get a little rougher. The wind picks up and pushes clouds in front of the beloved open-air sun. In the evenings, there's a stiff breeze and the whistling that sweeps through the leaves of the trees signals the dark season. With our beloved memories in our luggage, we curl up on the couch and let the outdoor experiences run through our mind's eye again. Outside, the wind whips incessantly against the façade. Autumn is here, spreading splashes of color here and gray fog there. In its inner conflict, which nature imposes on it as a link between the extremes, it develops a character all of its own. It not only combines the elements of the preceding and following, but also gives the world its own peculiar brilliance. On the one hand effervescent, on the other emphatically in love with detail, he enchants and gently accompanies the slowly tiring spirits into the early dawning cold. Today's deep story by Maria Theresia von Eberg is just as in love with detail as the fall. She combines downtempo with driving bass and covers this mixture with her own fresh ideas. For the acoustic fine-tuning of her deep story she had help from the berlin based artist Reyneke. She now tours all over Germany and plays the country's best-known festival stages. Her fusion set this year is particularly memorable.

deep story nr. 200 l beyond reality l by Bergstock
For many years now, I have been wandering through the wilderness as a lonely adventurer. Always in search of my destiny. With the sun setting the pace for my journey into the unknown, I roamed mountains and valleys, rivers and lakes, forests and steppes. The tranquillity seduced me to live now and the wisdom of nature moved me to stay. Out here I could experience what beauty means, but also how brutal life can be. My surroundings taught me to stay alert, which opened my eyes. Now I perceive things that are beyond normality. Single inconspicuous sounds can now give me more sense of security than an hour-long conversation among friends. My mind is in tune with flora and fauna. A blind understanding developed, guided by gestures instead of words. I was able to learn a lot about myself and my environment and come to terms with myself. Feelings of happiness now flow more regularly through my nerve cords and soften my petrified expression here and there. But the feeling of loneliness creeps back into my heart. Especially on days like these... I raise my flask and drink to another anniversary. The DJ and producer duo Bergstock, consisting of Lukas and Kevin, come from Cologne and specialise in melodic techno. Their sound is characterised by deep emotional moments as well as punchy highlights. This is exactly the mixture they present in the 200th edition of our podcast.

deep story nr. 198 l everything is flowing l by Matchy
Rhythms of hundreds of drums beguile the senses, which seem unprepared for the enormous flood of stimuli. The most diverse smells put the olfactory receptors on alert. They can no longer distinguish between known and unknown and surrender completely to this state of unpredictability. There is still so much to discover and learn here. The algorithm behind the colourful hustle and bustle remains hidden. Everything seems to be subject to its own laws. It cannot be grasped and ordered, it flows into each other and is stirring, it drives you forward. Overwhelmed by all these impressions, you let your mind go on an exciting journey. Matchy accompanies you and wants to bring you a little closer to this world. He conducts in the background and yet is always present. The selected pieces of music are masterfully coordinated and draw a path through the supposed confusion. Like an invisible red thread, the rhythms and melodies guide you and yet leave room for your own explorations in this soundscape.

deep story nr. 197 l first beat l by Denny Maechler
I enter a narrow, dark corridor. It seems really heated up by all the people who have been passing through here for hours. In the corridor, one can only orient oneself by a weak light that falls into the corridor from the large hall. Oh how I have longed to be back in this place. These old walls with this high gracefully shaped ceiling and the gigantic mirrored windows, which make the entire interior seem light and seemingly weightless, captivate you from the second you enter the dance hall. A joyful excitement jolts through my body. In a moment the first bass would start.

deep story nr. 195 l spring awakening l by Kriszpy
Kissed awake by the first touch of the distant life-giver, Mother Nature rises from her hibernation. Carefully she shakes off the lethargy of the last months and begins to unfold. As it were First self-confidently driving also the first bars of the new deep story develop. The musical selection, just like the increasingly green surroundings, lures people out of their dwellings and sets them in motion. They stroll through the parks in droves and leave the sofa they have grown fond of behind them. The sun's rays and electronic sounds increase the pulse rate and the serotonin level. Contentment spreads and is carried by melodic sound. Accompanied by occasional vocals, the result is a coherent overall picture. We thank Kriszpy for this wonderful spring walk, which accompanied us through the gray walls out into the colorful world of nature and makes great desire for the first outdoor raves.

deep story nr. 194 l congress of imagination l by Frank Klassen
I open my eyes and perceive the blue sky with a foggy mind. With my palm I feel the lush green below me. As I turn my head, with my vision still slightly blurry, I catch sight of wriggling figures. They move rhythmically back and forth. Comforting warmth flows through my body as a brilliant white cloud makes way for the sun. Slowly I sit up and my synapses are further flooded with impressions. Blurry black and gray becomes peacock feather colorful. Laughter and wild dancing define the scenery, which is framed by electronic compositions. Everyone seems so free and carefree. There is a weightlessness of being like children's birthday parties from earlier times. The surroundings are decorated with attention to detail and the participants of this imaginative congress seem never to have encountered everyday life. Full of joy, I rise and enter the fray.

There a cat is petted by a pirate and there a squirrel captures an ice cream for dessert. He loses himself in the peaceful parallel worlds and lets himself fall once again. deep story nr. 192 | the other side | by Othertune
"You don't know how strong the dark side can be." This saying from a well-known science fiction epic is probably familiar to many of us. Even in reality, this statement retains its truthfulness. The dark side creates curiosity. The unknown what hides and opens only to the initiated. It is interesting because it is not good. And already we want it even more. In science, this is called the "Forbidden Fruit" effect. It goes back to the story of Adam and Eve, who could not resist the temptation of the forbidden fruit. The wicked and mysterious seem to awaken our primal instincts and seduce us. The dark is strong! Othertune has tried to capture this fascination of the dark in his set. It lives from his synthesizer sounds, which lay over your mind like fog and pull you deeper and deeper into the darkness. Can you resist the temptation?

deep story nr. 191 | keep calm | by EMMI
New insights flood my mind. Everything feels so true, so right. I feel detached from any fear and am ready to engage in a new world. Elated, I glide through the room, full of curiosity about what will happen next. The soothing music continues to play in the background, giving me a feeling of security in this strange environment. The new visitors to the room join in the chorus of soft voices: "Everything is completely relaxed, there's no reason for you to worry. We are your new friends and we want to show you a new reality." Their voices are so soft and mild, as if they were speaking with the tongues of angels. I happily accept their offer and accompany them out into a new world. Enjoy with Emmi a soothing hour full of positive energy.

deep story nr. 190 | a new day | by Kuba&Fry
Sometimes we are so close to the surface of consciousness that we are aware that we are dreaming. We open our eyes and perceive the blue sky with an alert mind. With our palms we feel the lush green beneath us. When we turn our head we see a wide lush plain. Behind us are hills whose vegetation ranges from scarlet to azure, from bright green to flaming yellow to deep pink. Our eyes are enraptured by the play of colors. We feel the desire to stand up. But we are too weak and too dazed. Helplessly, we turn and turn our heads in search of a foothold. Suddenly, noises penetrate the cherished silence. At first they seem to be rioters in our idyll. But it is our ears that distort the sounds. They seem to be anesthetized. In time, the muffled noise, becomes a rhythmic hum. Soon after, we hear more clearly and we begin to love the unfamiliar sounds as much as the previous nothingness. Where there was weakness a short time ago, the music now inspires us. We gently lift off the ground and float above the plain.... Let the rhythms of Kuba and Fry carry you through the landscape and enjoy the feeling of lightheartedness.

deep story nr. 185 | wave after wave | by Moonbootica
Raw and relentless, the waves hammer against the cliffs. Without any semblance of fatigue, they roll towards the coast and wash the rock clean. They are the harbingers of the approaching drama that will soon befall the region. But there is still time, and while everyone else takes precautions, I stare out to sea as if paralyzed. For hours I watch the chaotic goings-on. As always, I have the feeling that the eternal master wants to teach me a lesson. Determined this time to decipher the secret of Poseidon, I have the cool water firmly in view. Rhythmically and uncontrollably, the waves continue to storm the area temporarily occupied by man and put the crown of creation in its place. Only I continue to hold my ground lonely and let the spray blow into my face. Until the voice of reason announces itself and precociously announces "It's time".experience with Moonbootica an hour of pure ecstasy and let him carry you away into a world of beats and melodies.skillfully he circumnavigates the shoals with you and takes you out on the infinite ocean.

deep story nr. 184 | nothing but stars | by Lars Moston
A scholar once answered the question "How many stars there would be?" with "There are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on the earth." Now one can claim that the man just made it simple or one can acknowledge his genius. For this sentence gives us a better idea of the infinity of the universe than the estimated number of 70 quadrillion (a 7 with 22 zeros) stars. So there is a lot to discover and the sentence "You always see each other twice in life" would be sheer mockery in the universe. Who moves out into the infinite black, prescribes itself probably for ever to the loneliness. But what always remains is the music. The music in our head. Let Lars Moston fill your thoughts with new melodies that carry you through everyday life and that you can hum when there is nothing else around you but the stars. The Berliner has been playing the biggest stages and festivals in Europe for years. Whether at Tomorrowland, Pasha Ibiza, Fusion, Sisyphos or Feel, he seems to have been everywhere. All the more we are happy to present you an exclusive mix of Lars on our Chanel. Be prepared for some fine House and Tech House tunes this time.
