Democracy Support Dialogues is a brand-new monthly podcast that will explore the European Union’s democracy support in the Eastern and Southern Neighbourhoods. From the best practices to the shortcomings of Europe’s democracy support agenda in its Neighbourhoods, this 12-part series will walk through the policies of a variety of institutions and states to harness our collective democratic knowledge. Join the host, Fabian Schöppner, as he speaks with a range of guests and experts on democracy support in Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Lebanon, Palestine and Tunisia as a part of the SHAPEDEM-EU project that sets out to rethink and reshape EU democracy support policies in its Eastern and Southern Neighbourhoods.

The interview is conducted with Dr Jan Grzysmki from the Jagiellonian University of Krakow.

    Democracy Support Dialogues is a podcast that takes a closer look at the European Union's support for democratic politics in its Eastern and Southern Neighbourhoods. This bonus episode features a recording of an online  panel discussion on 10 May 2024 of the Georgian government's proposed foreign agent draft law, which was passed on 13 May 2024. The panel includes Dr Nona Mikhelidze (IAI), Kristian Pitalskaia (EaP-CSF) and Aijan Sharshenova (UoW).

This fourth episode features two separate conversations on EU democracy support policies with two senior fellows from the Istituto Affari Internazionali in Rome, Italy. The first half concentrates of the EU in its Eastern Neighbourhood with  Dr Nona Mikhelidze and the second includes a discussion of the Southern Neighbourhood with Dr Maria Luisa Fantappiè.
