DFW Mini Series

Welcome to my mini series, Dear Future Wife.If you are here, it's because you find yourself feeling lonely, angry, sad, healing, or even just trying to find yourself after a recent breakup..I'd love to share my journey from a few years ago when I was going through my own personal "coming home to myself" journey post breakup..a journal blog that I used as a way to heal, to vent, and to eventually refine myself not as the person I used to be-but as the person I am today.Dear Future Wife, a blog transcribed.

    Day 2: Early Mornings

Day 2: Early MorningsCup of coffee in hand, news on, a quick workout done, and watching airplanes take off from my bed before I head to work.In these quiet moments, I take comfort in the peace of the morning and look forward to the day ahead..it’s in these moments that I feel most normal.I wonder what you might be doing, what you enjoy doing in your mornings, or if you’re even a morning person at all?Either way, I look forward to seeing the sun make its way to your face so I can look at it a little longer before having to struggle my way out of the bed and into life.Maybe we can find a way to linger a little longer. It feels a little odd writing to someone who doesn’t quite exist yet-or at least doesn’t exist in my life.In any case, this trip has been going surprisingly well-work hasn’t been easy with the pandemic..and people are either kind, or they’re not quite friendly.I try to find my way back to what brought me here, but I have finally settled in telling myself that this is only temporary.I hope you have found yourself in a career that makes you happy, makes getting up easier, and lets you navigate the world with purpose. But, if you find that you’re unhappy or stagnant-I hope you can navigate those scary waters and find yourself back in an oasis.I hope you also have support-and you have people to stand behind you every step of the way.I have felt the absence of support, as well as the feeling of not being good enough. Just know that no matter what you choose, or even if you choose to start all over..you will always be good enough-and in this life, we will thrive no matter the circumstances. You are important, and what makes you happy, will as a result-only add to our happiness. Please don’t ever forget that, and don’t ever be afraid to want to make a change.Change is scary, but it’s even scarier doing it alone.Until we find one another on our winding paths of change.Sincerely, me.
