Diary of a caged bird
by Michelle Clements
I was incarcerated during the COVID-19 pandemic and the entire first presidency of Trump. Not only did I turn my experience around for the better, but I also exceeded all expectations placed upon me. I went on to graduate from a renowned university, not only with my Bachelor of Arts degree but also to pursue a Master’s degree. Currently, I serve as the vice chair of a non-profit organization, helping to shape the transition home for released individuals. Growing up in a good environment, I never imagined myself in a cell, facing time. However, my experiences during that time transformed me. My old self vanished, and a brand new self emerged. This is a story of how I transformed my time into a superpower.RSSVERIFY
