Hello Class! Welcome to Die or Retire: The Random Teacher’s Podcast. I’m your host: THE DoR Random Teacher: Leslie Patteson. Who are the DoR Random teachers? You’re that rare breed of educator in that random campus teaching position that only becomes available if someone dies or retires. You’re that OG, veteran educator for whom teaching is so ingrained in their DNA that leaving education is now a “Die or Retire” situation. You’re the rare breed of educator that teaches the elective classes and CTE courses, the non-traditional, late-in-the-game, I-never-thought-I’d-be-a-teacher, teacher, the alternatively certified or the I-don’t-know-from-one-year-to-the-next-what-I’m-teaching teacher; and the extracurricular activity, duties-as-assigned-sponsors.
