Born and bred in Venda(Thohoyandou), South Africa, DIGITAL CHILD is no stranger to the stage: I have been performing for as long as I can remember. My earliest childhood memory is of an impromptu performance, where I was dancing for my family to a Michael Jackson song. This eventually spilled over to performances at neighbourhood events as well as school recitals. I continued to experiment with different forms of performance art, until I eventually found myself writing, recording, and performing my own music in high school (during my free time). Ever since then I have fallen in love with the process of expressing myself through music. Listen! I will be honest with you, I do not offer the old and smooth prizes, but offer rough new prizes – Walt Whitman “Song of the Open Road,”1856

The Concept behind the EP revolves around a dream where I have been chosen by space agency to join a program which will have them send me into a portal that they believe is a doorway to the future. I had to endure their regorous training and in the process find my true and inner strength. The acting in the EP plays out the storyline of the dream, while the verses outline my inner thoughts, my memories, my fears and they communicate the feeling of ambition, endurance and self-motivation. What thoughts would a person going through such a journey think? I hope that this will serve as a form of inspirational escape for the listener.
