Florian Nites aka DJ Ben Stacey (real name Ben Petterson), started his music career as guitarist/singer in Australian rock band Bodyjar, he then went on to pursue a career in electronica, relocating to London and NYC between 1998 - 2002 to follow his musical passion.Since then Ben has run and played at countless residencies in London, Melbourne and Sydney, including Turnmills (U.K), Revolver (Melb) and was part of Melbourne’s 33 1/3 DJ roster. Ben has opened shows for artists such as Beck, James Lavelle, Jazzy Jeff, Grandmaster Flash, Mr Scruff, Stanton Warriors, Freestylers, Plump DJ’s, Krafty Kuts, Greg Wilson, Avalanches DJ’s, Nickodemus, DJ Spun, Recloose the Beastie Boys among others.“I like to weave an eclectic mix of assorted Electronica, Club, Tech House, Disco/Nu Disco and stay constantly busy, adding new textures and layers over the mix with samples, scratching and effects giving the tracks extra zing.     Goodnight Tonight - Wings - Ben Stacey Rework

    I'd been playing this old classic out as a final track in my sets over last summer. I've been wanting to entirely re-work it for a while to give it some extra fatness and bit of a nu-funk feel so here it finally is. Enjoy!

    This is the first upload that is true to my real sound that I generally produce. Raised on a menu of punk, indie rock and heavy club / electronica it's only natural that my true sound be relatively dark and heavier than your average club track. If you're into a mashed palette of LCD, UNKLE, Holy Fuck, Erol Alkan, the DFA etc then this'll most likely be up your alley.

    BEN STACEY - AM SESSIONS VOL 2

    This mix was originally programmed for potential use for Tim Sweeney's 'Beats in Space' show WNYU 89.1FM in New York City but as I progressed it became relative to what I would play within my old 'Late Show' Revolver sets back in the mid 2000's. Although I am known for playing quite eclectic sets, this is my true style I feel most comfortable DJ'ing and Producing as you will witness as I unveil my new original productions throughout the year. For most satisfying results play late night, with friends, on an indulgent evening ... oh, and play loud!

    A nu disco re-edit with break elements that I've had sitting about since Oct 2014. It's had a good old rinsing since but I have a feeling it will certainly stick about in the crate as a festival kicker for a good time ahead still.
