Check out the best foods for lower abdominal pain or cramping and learn more about what causes it. 0:00 Introduction: What to do for lower abdominal pain 0:13 Typical treatment for lower abdominal pain 1:10 Lower abdominal pain causes 5:15 The best foods for lower abdominal pain relief 7:45 The best vegetable for digestive problems 8:52 Learn more about how to support digestion! Today we're going to talk about the best and worst foods for lower abdominal pain. There are many different causes of lower abdominal cramping or pain. But, in my opinion, we can usually trace the problem back to the person's diet and malabsorption. If a person has a problem with malabsorption, they may also experience bloating, diarrhea, or loose stool. The more inflammation or gut problems you have, the more sensitive you're going to be to certain things like gluten, lactose, fruit, grains, legumes, beans, nuts, and seeds. A good thing to consume would be a stew with homemade bone broth. The collagen in the stew is great for inflammation in the gut. Adding vegetables to the stew is also fantastic because they will cook down to the point where they shouldn't bother your digestive system. High-quality saturated animal fats are important to help support the gut. This means the meat you add to your stew should have skin on it and should be fatty. Lactose-free whole-milk kefir or lactose-free goat milk kefir is also great to help support healthy digestion. To support the colon, you may want to consume probiotic foods. Ghee and fermented vegetables may also be beneficial. The best vegetable for digestive issues is cabbage. This may be because it contains sulforaphane or certain phytonutrients. Even people who have digestive problems like gastritis or irritable bowel syndrome may find it easier to consume cabbage. Did you know H. pylori is behind some cases of anemia? H. pylori is a type of bacteria that most of the population already has. When the timing and environment are just right, H. pylori can come out of remission and create all sorts of problems. H. pylori primarily causes issues like gastritis, ulcers, and stomach atrophy. It typically comes out of remission when the stomach loses acidity. Some people are also more susceptible to getting an H. pylori infection. H. pylori bacteria also have unique survival mechanisms that help them thrive. One of these mechanisms leads to iron and B12 deficiencies. If you’re taking vitamin B12 and iron for anemia and it’s not helping, it could be because the real problem is in the stomach. The typical treatment for H. pylori is months of antibiotics. But, if you develop antibiotic resistance to H. pylori, they won’t work anymore. Antibiotics can also have side effects. We need to look at alternatives to get rid of H. pylori naturally. The best natural alternatives: 1. Take natural antibiotics (sulforaphane and wormwood extract) 2. Support your stomach by taking zinc 3. Take betaine hydrochloride or apple cider vinegar (if gastritis, inflammation, and ulcers are non-existent) 4. Take a probiotic or consume probiotic foods (sauerkraut and pickles) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The ONLY Sugar That Won't Raise Your Blood Sugar
Get access to my FREE resources 👉 https://drbrg.co/3UfEJUg Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. This is the only sugar that won’t raise your blood sugar levels. But is it healthy? Learn more! DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC552336/ 0:00 Introduction: What is the best type of sugar? 0:10 Sugar explained 1:45 Is fructose bad? 4:02 Is fructose keto-friendly? 5:00 The problem with fructose 6:00 Learn more about alternative sugars! Today, we’re going to talk about the only type of sugar that won’t raise your blood sugar: fructose. Fructose doesn’t increase your blood sugar levels, at least initially. Fructose is often recommended to diabetics because it doesn’t increase blood sugar levels, but there is another side of this that’s important to look at. Fructose follows a different biochemical pathway than glucose. Glucose is absorbed by all of the cells, but fructose is only absorbed by the liver. What’s not absorbed can end up in the colon, where your microbes consume it, which can lead to digestive problems. Fructose absorbed in the liver can be converted to glucose and stored as glycogen. When glycogen is stored in the liver, the body will start making triglycerides and cholesterol. Fructose can potentially lead to a fatty liver very quickly, which can then lead to insulin resistance and diabetes. Even though fructose is low on the glycemic index and won’t directly raise your blood sugar, it can indirectly raise your blood sugar and lead to various health problems. The good news is that there are keto-friendly alternative sugars that you can consume. Learn more about these in my next video. #sugar #fructose #bloodsugar Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Shocking Truth About Vaccines
When it comes to vaccine safety and side effects, we’re told to “trust the science.” In this video, we’ll examine vaccine research and uncover why so much vaccine controversy exists. This comprehensive guide can help: https://drbrg.co/3HJ1Hkj Science typically involves normal discord and disagreement, but when it comes to vaccines, opposing medical authority, such as WHO and CDC, is labeled medical misinformation. These organizations create health policy, but are often influenced by drug companies. We’re constantly told that vaccines are safe, effective, and vital for our health. When most drugs are studied for safety and effectiveness, they're tested against a placebo. Vaccine safety studies for children are not conducted in this manner! Vaccine safety studies often involve one active vaccine being tested against another, both containing adjuvants such as aluminum. No actual placebo-controlled studies have been conducted for childhood vaccines. It is considered harmful to give a placebo to children, rather than a vaccine. There have been many drugs and substances considered safe and effective that were ultimately deemed harmful. Vioxx, Paxil, trans fats, and asbestos are clear examples. Raw data from the initial release of a drug is often kept confidential. Around 87% of all Big Pharma-sponsored studies are unpublished. This means that drug companies can choose to publish only data supporting a drug's safety and effectiveness. Health policy and guidelines are then based on this deceptive information. Astroturfing involves creating fake front groups that pretend to represent public opinion. These groups include Citizens for Patient Safety, Partnership to Protect Patient Health, America's Action Network, and Doctors for America. These groups organize PR action against people like RFK Jr. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

This Has Gone Too Far!
Following the food pyramid may have you unknowingly eating like a cow. Find out what to ditch and how to choose the right foods to fuel your body. Your body deserves real nutrition, not an animal diet designed to fatten cattle. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Eating like a cow 0:38 High-starch diet 1:53 Refined starch and cornstarch 3:15 2 types of corn 4:47 What happens if I eat like a cow? 4:59 Grain-fed cows 6:37 How can I stop eating like a cow? Download the FREE Dr. Berg Junk Food Meter App here: https://drbrg.co/4oMbire Apple Download: https://drbrg.co/4mnkIry Android Download: https://drbrg.co/3VkvvXv Learn more about the health risks of ultra-processed starches here: https://drbrg.co/3HHVPrB Discover healthier alternatives to ultra-processed foods with this free guide: https://drbrg.co/4mtOH19 Today, we’re going to look at the average American diet and determine what may happen if you start eating like a cow. For the last 200 days of a cow’s life, it’s fed a high-starch diet and given minimal exercise. According to the food pyramid, most of our diet should come from starch. The average American consumes 65% to 70% of their calories from starches. Starches are actually hidden sugars. In fact, ultra-processed starch is worse than sugar and will raise your blood sugar more than glucose. There are 2 types of corn: field corn (dent corn) and edible sweet corn. Dent corn is used to fatten cattle and to make products such as ethanol, corn flour, modified food starch, modified corn starch, and maltodextrin. It’s also used to make corn oil, one of the seed oils. Not only do the refined starches act like sugar in the body, but they’re also GMO. This means they contain traces of glyphosate. The average American has been eating like a cow for quite some time. This is why we see obesity, fatty liver, heart disease, and more. Cows are meant to digest grass, not grains. Grass is fermented with bacteria in a cow's stomach, and the fiber feeds its microbes. When a cow is fed grains, the microbes produce an excess amount of acid, causing acidosis. This can lead to infection and isn’t very healthy for the cow, so they’re fed antibiotics to compensate. Stop eating like a cow! Avoid ultra-processed starch and choose grass-fed, grass-finished beef. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The #1 BEST Collagen-RICH Food (That NO ONE Is Talking About)
Collagen-rich foods can improve the health of your skin, joints, and cartilage. In this video, I’ll cover which collagen-boosting foods you should add to your diet for the most benefits, and show you the best collagen-rich food no one talks about! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Foods high in collagen 0:53 What is collagen? 1:58 Types of collagen 2:53 The best collagen-rich food 4:15 The best collagen foods Ditch the junk! This list makes healthy eating simple: https://drbrg.co/42Y3qKs Start your keto journey strong with this cheat sheet: https://drbrg.co/3ZnkoQ3 Confused with health jargon? This free resource makes it simple: https://drbrg.co/4mhEDbV Bone broth, pork rinds, and egg whites are some of the most common collagen sources. These collagen-boosting foods are great for your health, but the best collagen-rich food is much less talked about. You can not get collagen from plants! It must come from an animal source. Vegan collagen sources are typically only collagen-supporting products, such as vitamin C, which is necessary for collagen function. Although collagen comes from animal sources, you don’t get much from meat. Collagen makes up 30% of the protein in your body. It supports your arteries, joints, and eyes, and prevents sagging skin and wrinkles. After the age of 25, collagen begins to decrease. Without enough collagen, your arteries become stiff, which can lead to high blood pressure and hardening of the arteries. Consuming sugar, starches, and seed oils can deplete collagen faster than aging! There are multiple types of collagen, so it’s important to consume a variety of collagen-rich foods for the most benefits. Type 1 and type 3 collagen are found in fish skin, chicken skin, and bone broth. They support the skin, bones, and hair. Type 2 collagen supports the joints and typically comes from cartilage. Types 5 and 10 collagen come from organ meats and the membranes in eggs. These types of collagen support eye health and provide support at the cellular level. The best collagen-rich food, rarely discussed, contains GAGs that make up your joints, skin, fascia, and cell membranes. Surprisingly, the best collagen-rich food is rooster comb! You can find rooster comb in a Chinese or Filipino grocery store. You can also purchase them from a local farmer. Rooster comb provides the highest quality collagen to support skin health, joint repair, and gut health. It can also help improve symptoms of osteoarthritis. Consume the following foods regularly to support a collagen-rich diet: 1. Rooster comb 2. Chicken feet 3. Fish skin 4. Beef tendons 5. Bone broth Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. 7 Silent Signs of Pancreatic Cancer
Do not ignore these early warning signs of pancreatic cancer! Many people do not know they have pancreatic cancer until it’s too late. The earlier you can detect it, the better the prognosis. Find out how to identify the early symptoms of pancreatic cancer in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Warning signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer 0:37 Sudden unexpected weight loss 0:55 Abdominal pain 1:20 Jaundice 2:05 Chronic diarrhea 2:32 Diabetes 3:03 Feeling full quickly 3:16 Persistent fatigue 3:37 Pancreatic cancer explained 5:18 Risk factors for pancreatic cancer 5:56 Vitamin D and pancreatic cancer 6:22 Avoiding cancer DATA: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... TUDCA video: ▶️ • The Benefits of TUDCA Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest types of cancer. It’s known as the “silent killer” because, by the time you know you have it, it’s often too late. Pay attention to these 7 early warning signs of pancreatic cancer. 1. Sudden unexpected weight loss A problem with the pancreas can affect digestion and appetite, which can cause you to lose weight unexpectedly. 2. Abdominal pain This is typically dull, persistent pain that can radiate to the left shoulder. Sometimes, it shows up as radiating pain in the belly button that extends into the spine and often feels worse after eating. 3. Jaundice This is characterized by yellowing of the whites of the eyes and rust-colored urine caused by bile backing up into the blood. TUDCA can be a good remedy for this! Take two on an empty stomach twice a day to open the bile ducts. 4. Chronic diarrhea Most pancreatic cancer affects the part of the pancreas that is responsible for digestive enzymes, which can often lead to chronic diarrhea. 5. Diabetes A tumor in the pancreas can disrupt the cells that produce insulin, contributing to diabetes. 6. Feeling full quickly Pancreatic cancer can cause you to feel full and bloated even If you’ve hardly had anything to eat. 7. Persistent fatigue This can be described as overwhelming, chronic fatigue that doesn't improve with more sleep. Don't consume sugar if you have pancreatic cancer! Risk factors for pancreatic cancer include the following: •Smoking tobacco •Type 2 diabetes •Obesity •Alcohol consumption •Genetic factors •Vitamin D deficiency Vitamin D may help shrink cancer and enhance the immune system's ability to fight cancer. To help prevent pancreatic cancer: •Ensure you’re getting enough sleep •Reduce stress •Exercise •Practice intermittent fasting Incorporating anti-cancer foods such as cruciferous vegetables, green tea, garlic, and berberine may help. The Ugly Truth About Avocados (You Won’t Like It)
Avocados are touted as a superfood, but are avocados a scam? Is avocado oil a healthy choice? Learn more about avocado nutritional deception and why you’ll need to do more than just read the labels on avocado oil. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The avocado health fraud 0:37 Is avocado oil healthy? 1:38 Fake avocado oil US 2:05 The avocado oil scam 3:13 Rancid avocado oil 3:47 Guacamole 4:20 What is the best avocado oil? 4:49 Which avocados are best? 5:22 Are avocados a scam? DATA: https://www.ucdavis.edu/food/news/stu...https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Learn more about reading labels with this FREE resource: https://drbrg.co/3J951Wj Discover the real consequences of seed oils here: https://drbrg.co/4mc4jpU Today, we’re going to investigate the truth about avocados, avocado oil, and your health. When avocados arrive at the grocery store, they’re often put into a gas chamber and artificially ripened with ethylene gas. The artificial ripening process leaves this superfood devoid of phytonutrients. One research study evaluated 22 different brands of avocado oil and discovered that many products were oxidized, which can cause inflammation. Surprisingly, many products were actually fake avocado oil, mainly composed of soy and canola oils. Approximately 82% of avocado oil is not what it says it is! In the US, there are no official rules on avocado oil or a legally binding definition of the avocado oil extraction process. This has opened the door for corruption. Some avocado oil products contain no avocado oil at all! The origins of your avocado oil can also be misleading. A product can be labeled “product of the US”, but grown and blended elsewhere, as long as the final product is bottled in the US. Avocado oil doesn’t always have an expiration or production date, making it difficult to determine how long it’s been sitting on the shelf. Fast food guacamole does not contain much avocado. It’s often replaced with green peas, hydrogenated oils, and food starches. Cosmetics also claim to use avocado oil, yet soy, palm, and mineral oils are usually listed first on the ingredient list. If you want to buy avocado oil, look for the following: •Dark, glass bottle •Expiration date •Avoid the cheapest brand •Look for the harvest date •Look for green-colored oil When choosing avocados, look for Californian varieties, such as the Hass variety. Avoid the cheaper, shiny, bagged varieties. Avocados can be an incredibly healthy food if you choose the right ones. They contain healthy fats, minimal omega-6 fats, and are a rich source of potassium and magnesium. The Fastest Way to Get Rid of Acne
Have you tried countless topical acne remedies that haven’t seemed to work? In this video, I’m going to show you how to get rid of acne fast, naturally! Find out how to get rid of acne overnight in this video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: How to get rid of acne fast, naturally! 0:27 Sulfur for acne 1:22 How does sulfur work? 2:20 What depletes sulfur? 2:51 Sources of sulfur for acne 3:20 How to get rid of acne by increasing sulfur foods DATA: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles... Today, I’m going to share one of the best acne remedies to help get rid of acne naturally and effectively. I discovered 4 patents that involved sulfur for acne, and I noticed countless sulfur creams on the market. So, what’s the deal with sulfur for acne? Many people with acne are deficient in sulfur. Sulfur can help with acne removal because of the following benefits •Decreases inflammation •Increases hydration of the skin •Increases collagen •Helps regulate androgens •Helps regulate insulin Grains, sugar, seed oils, fructose, and alcohol can deplete sulfur. You get small amounts of sulfur from plants like garlic, onion, and cruciferous vegetables, but most of your sulfur comes from protein. Methionine and cysteine are the 2 amino acids that provide you with the most sulfur. After calcium and phosphorus, sulfur is the most abundant mineral in the body, so you need a lot of it! To increase sulfur and get rid of acne, consume the following foods: 1. Eggs 2. Fish 3. Beef 4. Lamb 5. Cheese 6. Organ meats You must also avoid sugar and starch, which will block the absorption of methionine and cysteine and decrease sulfur. Try increasing your intake of high-quality animal-based protein to get rid of acne fast. Let me know how it works! What causes chronic diseases? In this video, we’re going to talk about the biggest chronic disease risk factor contributing to over 90% of chronic diseases. Learn more about the connection between chronic disease and diet, glucose metabolism, and insulin resistance in this short video. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The #1 cause of chronic disease 0:12 The lie about glucose 0:44 Blood sugar levels after sugar consumption 1:59 The root cause of chronic disease 2:24 Insulin resistance and the dangers of sugar 3:45 Are carbohydrates necessary? 4:01 How to reverse insulin resistance Learn how to do Healthy Keto® the right way with this FREE guide: https://drbrg.co/449XnTz Keto is easier than you think. Use these tips to stay on track: https://drbrg.co/3SOE4sx Learn more about the dangers of sugar here: https://drbrg.co/4n0nxzo Over 90% of chronic disease stems from one lie taught to doctors, dieticians, nutritionists, and personal trainers worldwide. Glucose is the body’s preferred energy source! If glucose is so good for you, why does your body do everything it can to eliminate it from your blood? The average thin person has about 100,000 calories of stored fat and only 1,700 calories of glucose. When you consume sugar, it’s removed from the blood very quickly, and the excess sugar is converted into fat. The body requires a small amount of glucose, but your body can make this small amount. The single root cause of chronic disease is high glucose! Blood sugar spikes create inflammation on the inside of the arteries, leading to chronically high insulin levels to remove the sugar. The body compensates with insulin resistance to slow down the glucose that enters the cells. Early symptoms of insulin resistance include: •Frequent urination at night •Brain fog •Loss of memory •Belly fat •Visual problems •Mood issues •Anxiety •Depression •Excessive hunger/cravings •Heart palpitations •Fluid retention in ankles and feet •Sleep apnea These initial symptoms can ultimately lead to diabetes, dementia, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. People are not taught about the dangers of sugar and carbohydrates. In fact, most people aren’t worried about their high-carbohydrate diet because the food pyramid tells us that we should consume 65% of our calories from carbohydrates. This is a lie! A low-carb diet of less than 30 grams of carbs per day is one of the best things you can do to improve your health. One study showed a 90% success rate of ceasing insulin use in 10 weeks on a low-carb diet! The food industry has created the lie that glucose is the preferred fuel because you can profit the most from refined carbohydrates! The Biggest Weight Loss LIE in History
This is the biggest lie about weight loss and dieting, and it’s been going on for decades! Find out the truth about weight loss and why you may want to ditch the calorie counting for good. Don’t fall for diet lies! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The biggest weight loss lie 0:15 The calorie-deficit weight loss myth 0:39 Weight loss myths debunked 1:58 More weight loss facts 3:18 Why diets don’t work 4:24 Debunking diet lies about sugar 5:15 How to lose weight The weight loss industry has convinced the public that losing weight is just a matter of eating fewer calories than you're burning. There is no one bad food, and you can consume “everything in moderation”. These diet lies will not work! All calories are not the same! Let’s look at the hormone insulin, which tells calories where to go. If insulin is high, your carbohydrates will be stored as fat. If it’s low, those calories will be burned. All it takes is a small amount of carbohydrates to raise insulin and prevent your body from burning fat. Cortisol, the stress hormone, can indirectly raise your insulin. It interferes with sleep, when most of your fat burning occurs. Fiber can help buffer a blood sugar spike. Orange juice without the fiber will increase your blood sugar significantly more than whole oranges with fiber. Highly refined industrial starch is classified as a complex carbohydrate. It raises blood sugar significantly more than starch from a whole food source, such as a potato. Different types of fat affect your health in dramatically different ways. Cod liver oil is a potent source of healthy omega-3 fat, while if you were to consume the same amount of Crisco fat, the health effects would be completely opposite. You will not lose weight if your calories don’t satisfy you. Unsustainable diets leave you feeling hungry all the time. The more nutrient-dense a food is, the more satisfying it will be. The source of the calories matters! All of your cells can metabolize glucose, but only the liver can metabolize fructose. Synthetic sugars like high fructose corn syrup can overload your liver and significantly differ from natural sugar sources like honey. If you’re struggling to lose weight, realizing that calorie counting doesn’t work is essential. Healthy Keto® and intermittent fasting can help you lose weight sustainably! --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The #1 Most Ignored Anti-Inflammatory Food in the World (Surprising)
What is snake oil? Is it the most ignored superfood, or just another health scam? In this video, we’ll uncover the truth about snake oil and find out which health scams you should be on the lookout for. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The snake oil salesman 2:42 Health scams 4:20 Psychiatric diagnoses and medications 7:00 The benefits of snake oil Discover more natural remedies that actually work with this FREE resource: https://drbrg.co/45YXRgb Learn more about the dangers of seed oils here: https://drbrg.co/47CwIRm These ingredients are marketed as good, but should be avoided: https://drbrg.co/4fPG7au When people think of snake oil, they often think of the snake oil salesman. In the 1800s, people would sell “snake oil” for pain, arthritis, and digestive issues, and developed a bad reputation for peddling products that were fraudulent or didn’t actually work. Clark Stanley is one of the most well-known sellers of snake oil for arthritis. The government tested his snake oil, and it was found that it didn’t contain any snake oil at all. This gave other natural remedies a bad reputation. Real snake oil was shipped from China, where railroad workers used it for arthritis. It was derived from a specific type of Chinese water snake. Health scams like those of the snake oil salesmen of the past seem to still be going on! Big Pharma has been involved in numerous criminal fraud cases, resulting in 100 billion dollar settlements! Many drugs are considered safe and effective, but are suddenly found to be dangerous. The benefits of drugs are exaggerated, and the side effects are minimized. In some cases, as with vaccines, Big Pharma is not liable for harm or negative side effects. So it seems, Big Pharma is the new snake oil salesman! Real snake oil is one of the richest sources of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA. EPA can change pro-inflammatory factors into anti-inflammatory factors. Snake oil benefits include the following: •Potent anti-inflammatory properties •Natural anti-depressant •Decreases risk of heart attack by 25% •Decreases risk of fibrosis •Increases insulin sensitivity •Decreases risk of autoimmunity •Decreases tumors Snake oil can also be used topically! You Will Never Consume THIS Again After Watching This
After watching this interview with Dr. Catherine Shanahan, you’ll want to avoid seed oils forever. In this video, you’ll find out about the dangers of seed oils and the potent effect these toxic oils can have on your health. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: The toxic effects of seed oils 0:38 Welcome, Dr. Cate Shanahan! 3:05 Seed oil dangers explained 4:58 How seed oils are made 6:40 The health effects of seed oils 14:05 Seed oils and insulin resistance 16:54 How to avoid seed oils 17:56 Healthy alternatives to seed oil DARK CALORIES BOOK LINK: https://www.amazon.com/Dark-Calories-... Please join me in welcoming Dr. Catherine Shanahan, author of “Dark Calories”. Dr. Shanahan graduated from medical school in 1994. She explains that doctors only learn a limited amount of information about nutrition. Her book “Dark Calories” explains that addressing the root cause of health problems can improve chronic health conditions. Seed oils are problematic because they initiate the formation of toxins. Seed oils are also rancid, and their rancidity often goes undetected. They are unstable fatty acids that have been refined, bleached, deodorized, and lack any nutritional value whatsoever. Seed oils are made with heat and pressure. Through the manufacturing process, toxins continue to develop, multiply, and change. Cooking and reheating with these toxic oils creates more toxins. Seed oils cause oxidation and free radicals, both of which destroy our cellular membranes and cellular health. The good news about seed oils is that removing them from your diet is one of the most powerful things you can do for your health. Dr. Shanahan explains that she knew there was a problem after seeing children with more health problems than their great-grandparents. She then diligently researched what could be causing these health problems: the answer was seed oils. Omega-6 polyunsaturated fats from seed oils can significantly damage the mitochondria and are also stored in fat cells. Seed oil consumption is at the root of obesity, insulin resistance, and metabolic diseases. Dr. Shanahan recommends olive oil, butter, coconut oil, peanut oil, and sesame oil as alternatives to seed oils. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today I want to cover the best foods for the eyes. Your eyes are highly complex, and it's important to support them to help avoid vision problems and other issues. The most important nutrient for the eyes is DHA, which is an omega-3 fatty acid. DHA has many important functions and protects against macular degeneration and inflammation. It also inhibits the formation of extra blood vessels in the eyes that could affect vision. DHA is destroyed by blue light, UV light, and omega-6 fatty acids. Carotenoids are also very protective for the eyes, specifically lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso-zeaxanthin. The best foods to support the eyes: • Oily cold-water fish (bluefin tuna, salmon, herring, cod liver, cod liver oil, oysters, and sardines) • Grass-fed beef • Pasture-raised, organic egg yolks • Walnuts • Chia seeds • Flax seeds • Dark leafy green vegetables • Shrimp It's also crucial to avoid omega-6 fatty acids and sugar to support healthy eyes. Let's talk about the symptoms of vitamin C deficiency you may have never heard of before. Commonly known vitamin C deficiency symptoms: • Bleeding gums • Fatigue • Loss of collagen • Lowered immune system • Increased risk of biofilms Vitamins are cofactors that work with enzymes. Without vitamins and certain minerals, important enzymes in the body can't work. When you're deficient in vitamin C your body will allocate the vitamin C you have to the essential enzymes, but not all of them. A complete lack of vitamin C is fatal. Lesser-known symptoms of vitamin C deficiency: • Hypochondria • Depression • Perifollicular hyperkeratosis • Anemia • Dry hair • Inflamed veins • Shortness of breath • Problems with adrenaline The best sources of vitamin C are fruits and vegetables. Juice, like apple juice, is not a good source of vitamin C. Juice has too much sugar and is pasteurized, which destroys natural vitamin C. How To Stop Overeating And Be Satisfied With Your Food
Get access to my FREE resources 👉 https://drbrg.co/3JvKF6E Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. I recently learned something new about how to stop overeating and satisfy hunger—you need to hear this! DATA: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T2GGHT8 0:00 Introduction: How to satisfy hunger 0:16 The best way to avoid overeating 1:10 Benefits of protein 1:37 Protein explained 3:15 Protein requirements 7:40 Learn more about protein! After learning some interesting new information, I’m going to share how to stop overeating and the best way to satisfy your hunger. There are three things I’ve covered on this topic before: 1. Consume more fat 2. Eat nutrient-dense foods 3. Support healthy digestion The above three things are important. But the best way to satisfy hunger and stop overeating is to consume the right amount of protein. One study found that certain insects will continue to eat until their protein requirements are met. If you put these insects on a low-protein diet, they will overeat. However, you don’t want to consume too much protein. Excess protein is not stored and will convert to sugar. The right amount of protein will give your body what it needs without converting to sugar or fat. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) 0:00 Introduction: Is junk food bad for you? 0:40 Junk food addiction 1:33 Why you can't resist junk food 2:49 The new Dr. Berg app! 3:33 Toxic foods to avoid 5:39 Lab-based meats My free app helps you identify toxic foods. By scanning the barcode, the Dr. Berg app will tell you how much sugar, starch, and seed oils are in a product. To make a profit, food companies must create an irresistible product that never leaves you fully satisfied so you will continue eating it. Food scientists work to create the perfect combination of sugar, starch, seed oils, salt, and flavoring to create maximum pleasure, also known as the bliss point. Artificial flavor chemicals are very different from natural flavor chemicals and are 300 times more intense! When you repeatedly consume these chemicals, you can develop dopamine resistance. Junk food is devoid of nutritional value and lacks protein. Junk foods are not food in the true sense of the word. Food is defined as something that gives you energy and helps you sustain life, something junk food can't do. Here is a list of some of the worst junk foods. Avoid these foods! 1. BBQ chips 2. The way we were taught how to stretch is wrong. Discover the best way to stretch stiff muscles. DATA: https://www.amazon.com/Whartons-Stretch-Book-Breakthrough-Active-Isolated-ebook/dp/B07T51QSB5 ▶️ https://youtu.be/R1gk_tHVxn4 0:00 Introduction: What to do for stiff muscles 0:10 The worst way to stretch 0:50 Understanding tight muscles and stretching 2:00 The correct way to stretch 5:10 Learn more about exercise! Let’s talk about how to relieve muscle stiffness and increase your range of motion. Many of us have been taught to stretch by holding a position for 30 to 60 seconds—this is called static stretching. But this is the worst way to stretch your muscles. Tight muscles are weaker and are more susceptible to injury and inflammation. When you stretch incorrectly, you can easily strain or pull a muscle. Motion is all about the coordination of contraction and relaxation of the muscles. One of the best ways to stretch is a method from a book called The Whartons’ Complete Strength Book, and it’s called Active Isolated Flexibility. How to stretch correctly (using Active Isolated Flexibility): 1. Identify the muscle you want to stretch 2. Contract or tighten the opposite muscle as you stretch 3. Stretch to a comfortable limit and hold for two seconds and then relax Repeat this method of stretching eight to ten times per muscle. This would be a great warm-up before you exercise. You may also want to consider a version of this as part of the rehab process for a less severe injury. Many people deal with pain and soreness behind their eyes. Today we’re going to talk about what’s really behind certain eye problems like eye soreness, sensitivity to light, eye strain, or watery eyes. In many cases, these problems with the eyes are caused by the hypersensitivity of a nerve behind the eyes. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. If you’ve had chicken pox, you have a higher risk of getting shingles later in life. But, before you get shingles, your body may give you certain warning signs of shingles. One of these warning signs is pain behind the eyes and other eye problems. This is because the dormant virus hides in the sensory nerves and waits for the perfect opportunity to come out. The top triggers of shingles: 1. Cold weather 2. Weather changes (pressure) 3. Stress 4. Vitamin D deficiency 5. Zinc deficiency It’s key to focus on prevention and keeping your immune system strong by doing certain things, including: • Getting plenty of sleep • Exercising regularly • Lowering your stress • Consuming a healthy diet (Healthy Keto®) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The #1 Food to AVOID to Improve Alzheimer's Disease Symptoms
Download My Free Beginner’s Guide to Healthy Keto and Fasting 👉 https://drbrg.co/3w7thSw Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. If you or a loved one is trying to improve Alzheimer’s disease symptoms, it's crucial that you avoid this food—do you know what it is? 0:00 Introduction: Improving Alzheimer’s symptoms 0:15 What is Alzheimer’s disease? 0:45 Insulin and Alzheimer’s disease 4:42 Fix insulin resistance and improve cognitive function 8:42 Learn more about what to eat to support a healthy body! In my opinion, what you eat is the most important thing that influences dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. There is one food I believe you have to avoid if you’re trying to improve symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, and that is refined carbohydrates. Surprisingly, insulin is actually neuroprotective, and carbs increase insulin. If you’re deficient in insulin, your risk for amyloid plaquing goes up. But this doesn’t mean you should consume more carbs. A high-carb diet is associated with high blood sugar, and people with high blood sugar or diabetes have an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease. When your insulin is too high, your body starts protecting itself against excess insulin, leading to insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is a deficiency of insulin inside the cells. It's important to have just the right amount of insulin. Refined carbs and sugar can also create brain inflammation. Not only that but sugar and refined carbs can destroy the energy sources for neurons and create oxidation and free-radical damage while also decreasing antioxidants. This is why it’s key to fix insulin resistance. If you fix insulin resistance, the neurons can get the level of insulin they need for neuroprotection and to help decrease inflammation. How to support healthy insulin levels: 1. Get on the keto diet (run your body on ketones) 2. Do intermittent fasting 3. Do OMAD 4. Consume nutrient-dense foods 5. Decrease stress Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Sometimes you need to deal with cravings first so you can successfully do the keto diet. Find out how to get rid of cravings for alcohol or sugar. DATA: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0085253815460260 https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnins.2015.00144/full 0:00 Introduction: Get rid of sugar and alcohol cravings 0:30 How to stop cravings for alcohol and sugar 0:45 How this remedy works 2:22 Benefits of L-glutamine 3:11 Glutamine deficiency 4:35 Foods high in glutamine 5:20 Other things to help stop cravings 5:38 Learn more about Healthy Keto® and intermittent fasting! Today I’m going to cover the best remedy to help get rid of sugar cravings and cravings for alcohol: L-glutamine. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body. Glutamine turns into glutamate, which is the most abundant neurotransmitter in the brain. L-glutamine increases gluconeogenesis, which is the production of new sugar. This means that this amino acid can quickly turn to sugar and feed your brain cells, but it won’t spike your insulin. Both sugar and alcohol can provide a sense of relief to some people. L-glutamine may help provide fuel to the brain and reduce stress, anxiety, and pressure—this may help reduce the need for alcohol and sugar. L-glutamine has many other potential health benefits, as well. Alcohol consumption can block glutamine and all of the beneficial effects that come with it. Other things can also create a glutamine deficiency, such as: • Chronic stress • Overtraining • Trauma • Chronic infection • A lack of glutamine in the diet Foods rich in glutamine: • Beef • Chicken • Fish • Eggs • Dairy • Cabbage • Dark leafy green vegetables You can also take L-glutamine as a supplement. Other things that may help get rid of cravings for alcohol and sugar: • Regular exercise without overtraining • Getting enough sleep • Reducing stress • Consuming less alcohol • Get on the keto diet and do intermittent fasting Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Let’s talk about the incredible potential health benefits of turmeric and how to increase the bioavailability of turmeric. You can consume organic turmeric or take a supplement. If you want to take a supplement, it’s best to get a turmeric supplement and not just curcumin. Curcumin is only one of many phytonutrients in turmeric. It’s also important that it’s a freeze-dried supplement. Black pepper or white pepper can help you increase the absorption of turmeric. You can also consume a small amount of fat at the same time for better absorption. Keep in mind that the phytonutrients in turmeric are heat sensitive, so cooking with turmeric could make them less potent. The two main areas of research for turmeric are inflammation and cancer. A lot of the direct benefits of turmeric can lead to various other powerful effects, and turmeric also has virtually no side effects. Potential health benefits of turmeric: 1. It increases glutathione and other antioxidant networks 2. It has potent effects on the brain and nervous system 3. It has powerful effects on the cardiovascular system 4. It’s antimicrobial, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-candida, antifungal, antiparasitic, and anti-H. pylori 5. It shows great benefits for skin problems 6. It helps protect the liver 7. It helps stimulate phase-2 detoxification 8. It inhibits pro-carcinogens 9. It increases bile salts 10. It supports the gut mucosal lining 11. It helps protect the DNA and supports DNA repair and apoptosis 12. It protects the cells during chemo or radiation therapy and may increase the effectiveness of the treatment 13. Let's talk about how to lower cortisol, lose belly fat, and support a healthy mood with a simple 1/2 cup of tea. Cortisol is the main stress hormone. Many people are exposed to chronic high cortisol levels. When you're exposed to high levels of cortisol over a long time, you could potentially develop cortisol resistance. Cortisol resistance is a situation where you have high levels of cortisol in the body, but it's not working as it should. This can lead to a cascade of health problems. Some people end up with cortisol resistance due to stress, but others have a genetic weakness that can lead to this issue. Potential effects of high cortisol: • Depression • Anxiety • Belly fat • Cognitive problems • Metabolic syndrome • PCOS • Bone loss • Insulin resistance The best remedy to lower cortisol is a phytonutrient called EGCG in green tea. Drinking green tea regularly may help reduce stress and lower cortisol. Other great natural remedies to lower cortisol: • Licorice • Curcumin • Emodin (Japanese knotweed) Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Learn more about the worst things for your brain so you can better support your brain function moving forward. DATA: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5573220 0:00 Introduction: The worst things for your brain 10:00 Grass-fed beef vs. grain-fed beef for your brain 15:35 Learn more about brain health! Today I’m going to share some of the top things that can severely affect your brain. Top things that negatively affect your brain: 1. Chronic exposure to bad news 2. Toxic personalities 3. Spending too much time inside 4. Low-fat, low-cholesterol diets 5. High-grain diets 6. High-sugar diets 7. Low-stress to no stress at all 8. High-stress 9. Snacking 10. Things that decrease gut microbes 11. Consuming grain-fed animal products One of the most surprising things on this list is grain-fed animal products. I recently participated in an interesting beef nutrient-density study. This study compared the beef from my farm to grass-fed beef and grain-fed beef, looking at factors that contribute to health and disease. It turns out that the beef from my farm was significantly higher in phytonutrients and vitamin B3. It also had a fantastic omega-6 fatty acid to omega-3 fatty acid ratio. Not only that, but the beef I sent was low in glycation end-products and homocysteine, which are both harmful to the brain. Grass-fed beef also did much better than grain-fed beef when looking at these same factors. My beef may have done best because I raise my cattle on pastures with a diversity of weeds for the cows to consume. Overall, it’s crucial to consume grass-fed, grass-finished beef or 100% grass-fed beef to support your brain and your overall health. Sugar is bad. But, there is a food that is way worse than sugar. Certain factors can shorten your lifespan—these factors include: • Severe obesity • Heavy smoking • Vegetable oils • Physical inactivity • Heavy drinking • Moderate smoking • Excess sugar • Processed meat • Air pollution • Red meat • Sodium Vegetable oils are one of the most dangerous foods you could include in your diet—even worse than sugar. Vegetable oil isn’t really oil from vegetables. It’s mostly made from seeds, legumes, and grains. Key points on vegetable oils: 1. Over 30% of our calories come from vegetable oil 2. They contain highly inflammatory omega-6 fatty acids 3. Restaurants typically use a lot of vegetable oil 4. One study on unsaturated fats (vegetable oil) found that there was an increased death rate of all causes by 62% when compared to saturated fats 5. Only severe obesity and heavy smoking are more dangerous than vegetable oils 6. One study showed an 86% increase in heart attacks, and after seven years, the number of strokes and heart attacks increased by seven times 7. One study showed an increased risk of cancer by 82% 8. Deep-fried foods are some of the worst because the oil is often reheated Consider replacing your vegetable oils with olive oil, butter, ghee, coconut oil, tallow, or lard. VITAMIN D TEST KIT: 🛒 https://drbrg.co/4hSPDtr 🛒 https://drbrg.co/41vAs3S Vitamin D is important but confusing. Find out how to boost vitamin D and much more. 0:00 Introduction: Vitamin D levels explained 1:40 Understanding the vitamin D receptor 6:25 How to boost low vitamin D 8:45 Learn more about vitamin D toxicity! Today I want to cover what you really need to know about vitamin D. The RDA for vitamin D is 600 IU for adults under 70 years old. But, the studies that support this amount are outdated. Vitamin D reaches the cells through vitamin D receptors. Unfortunately, you can’t use blood tests to determine what’s happening in the cells, and various problems can occur with these receptors. For example, about 30% of the population has a genetic problem with the vitamin D receptor, meaning they have a difficult time getting the vitamin D they need. Many health conditions are directly related to a problem with the vitamin D receptor, including: • Autoimmune diseases • Breast cancer and colon cancer • Certain cardiovascular diseases • Certain cognitive diseases • Diabetes (type 1 and type 2) • Metabolic syndrome • High blood pressure • Tuberculosis and certain infections • Lyme disease • Hair loss • Crohn’s disease • Respiratory infections • Asthma and food allergies • Low back pain • Vitiligo • Osteoporosis • COPD • PTSD How to increase vitamin D: 1. Take more vitamin D 2. Take your vitamin D supplements inconsistently 3. Take magnesium 4. Take zinc 5. Take bile salts 6. Consume omega-3 fatty acids 7. Consume vitamin K2 8. Take resveratrol, curcumin, quercetin, and sulforaphane 9. Consume butyrate (vegetables) When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs.
