It's a strange new time in most peoples lives.  Everything has changed in a flash for most of the people in the world.  all is not bad there is always some good in all things.   Plus all of the coping skills we gain through these challenges.  Learn how this group develop new skills, new likes and their newly developed coping stratatgies.  Plus their going to share some great food thought.  

Our EEI new team will be talking about the followin 1. supports that have no real system of dealing with people with disabilities, its different every place you go and its not good hardly anywhere.  They need to discern weather your in pain or not, but instead they fill us up with phsycotropic medications.  they need to deal with each person as a individual not a cookie cutter that one fits all.. 2.  Jon will be talking about how when he is going through some challenges that he does not want a cop pulling a gun out.  They need to take the time to get to know us, our disablilities, and learn how to manage what is going on. 3. Tommy will be talking about covid, he will share his theroy of how and why 4.Parker will be talking about the world 5 Jaclyn will be talking about helping people when they need help

society at large just does not get it.  It is hard to understand what it is like to live with a brain injury, autism, MS, and many other hidden disabilities.  Here are how some college students see how it should be.  Maybe listen you might accept it.  No one expects you to understand acceptance go a long ways.  All we ask is please don't judge what you don't know.

Our team is honored again by the overwhelming willingness of teachers and aids as well as administrators who have shared with us their vision and thoughts of the PACE Services program. The largest program of its type in the world serving all people with disabilities to help them achieve their goals of Education, Employment and ultimately independence. Today we will have joined by the president of the community college Dr. Kevin Brockbank as well as some current teachers and a blast from the past you don’t want to miss this one. Welcome to episode 2 of season 4 and a lot has happened in just a few years we have been doing this show.  A new dean and assistant dean.  New programs and departments.  Just an all-around huge amount of change.  This will be part one where we begin to understand who the people are behind the nations leading program in a public college system for people with disabilities.  What each person does.  On part two we will get the remainder of the people who work there.  In part 3 we will cover some of the students and program participants who have experienced incredible results in this one of a kind unique program.

Season 3 episode 1 all  new cast doing their premeir show, covering issue important to americans to issues important to the global community. Combined with some sports. 

Saying good bye is never easy.  But today we must say good bye to mr John who is moving to Indiana.  With hopes of a beter life with more supports off he goes to a new home.  But not with out leaving many who will miss him dearly.  So today we will do a nicer side roast of John.  So when he leaves he can remember all who cared about him and will always.  We hope he vistis often.  John is from the origanal EEI News team which has been almost 2 years now.  Hard to believe its been that long.  Make sure you get a copy of our Winter 2018 EEI News letter which will be available December 5th. It is hard when good friends have to leave but sometimes that is what is best and we must be happy for them.  So lets give him a great goodbye roast.  

6 stories of precieved inequalities of a person living With a disability.  Life is not fair and living with a Disability which is the largest minority group in the Nation.  They experience discrimination form all of The other factors you can imagine.  As well it is easier For people to justify why it is ok to exploit people with Disabilities, and do so with a greater frequency than Another minority class.  6 out of 8 will be exploited Multiple times, and 2 out of 3 will sexually assaulted Usually by someone who is paid for providing care for Them.  Listen in to these 6 short stories of what these People would like to see more fair and their ideas.

Some times living with a disability can make things difficult but when summer comes everyone dreams of that ultimate fun.  Even those or especially those living with disabilities.  Today lets hear from 10 young people and what they think everyone should do for the summer.  Maybe youll get some inspiration for what you want to do.  As our quarter is winding down just one week left and school is out for the summer.  Unless your taking summer courses then not so much mu have a nice break in-between Join in, listen in and call in 424-243-9540

Eike Geake the Zwickau and West Nile virus is found in mosquitos and it is usually found out doors.  However the sika virus does not seem to be sexually transmitted but maybe.  The main way people are getting this virus is through mosquito bites.  According to the cdc its real danger is the transmission from mother to unborn baby causing a host of birth defects and deaths in the infant and some cases the mom during birth This will be our topic but heck we may get off topic we do that but life is good so call in and share with us our first show taste.  We excited to spill our ideas of nothingness on to the world,   Heck at least you can could on us not to lie or have an agenda just two good ole boys and the news according to them

Up coming new show good morning with barry, barry will be talking about current events, todays episode will be with students in a business class, he will interview these students on their business ideas, they will discuss their vissions of success.   and their unique ideas.  A little scary ones first show but here we go.

Good bye dear students We had a great quarter at Community colleges of Spokane, we accomplished lots over a hundred articles, 6 radio shows and countless other things.  We are having the EEI team come up in teams they think they are having to do something quit random but in fact we are going to honor them.  Join in if you can and leave comments to this great Team

Today's story is about some  students in a self-contained program at Mead High School.   They are more like the general population than many will ever realize.  Employment is so hard out for anyone little alone a person with a significant  disability .    They go through the steps filling out applications wait for t the call about the job and not a single call or interview these days, not even a screw you  Not so sure all the employment vendor are doing right by our popultion, I had two postionsopen and sent what i was looking for to 7 of our vendors and about two weeks into it not one call or bit of effort to getting the word out.  The companies over use the bussinesses now who will use people with disabilities and many students tell they do not feel welcome at these places anymore.  So one day they said, hmmmm' we want to start our own business we have ideas and drive we need to succeed.  They are beginning to start their  own stand-alone candy machine business that we they manage with support from school staff. Each team member will be responsible for maintaining the machine, filling it with candy, and collecting quarters to deposit weekly. We will travel to schools in our community to teach students with disabilities that they too can be entrepreneurs, if they have an idea and appropriate support!  Finding paid employment is difficult for usheck for anyone there are 95,000,000 out of the work force cause unemployment has stoped. Working for ourselves can empower us to live more independently than we thought possible.

Today on EEI we are just blowing off steam, had a really busy quarter at school and the news room, stories don't come easy sometimes.  So everyone wrote a little about them selves and then we imagined up a charactor to interwiew ourselves, or a situation that might spice things up a little.  We will have several live segments today.   The theme all about you is just that all about us, 10 stories of who knows what, because once we let our imaginations go reality looses its boarders and realm.  So we hope you enjoy todays installment of EEI Radio as we take on reality in a fun exciting way.

Spokane Community College, PACE Services (People Accessing Careers and Education; a college program for students with disabilities) students are doing a pilot radio program discussing Employment, Education and Independance. Students will interview people regarding employment, education, independance and disabilities.
