Answer me this: What do these things have in common? A high school student, a track star, a mall pretzel shop worker, a Door Dasher, and a mobile Notary Public?  The answer is: They are all one person: 2021 High School graduate Jaz'Myn Hall! Jaz'Myn's grandmother was instrumental in helping Jaz'Myn become who she is today, and who she plans to be in the future. Not only did she encourage her to pursue her education with a passion as she was growing up, she also wrecked the car Jaz'Myn and she were riding in. While testifying in court, Jaz'Myn made such an impression on the court that the judge told her she would make an outstanding lawyer.  Jaz'Myn considered it, and has decided to run with that idea, with a goal of becoming a judge one day. Her whole family motivates her to do well, work hard, and achieve her dreams. Her mother has been tough on her, which Jaz'Myn appreciates. Her dad supports her without question, and her two brothers look up to her example to learn how to make it to success in this world.  Jaz'Myn not only went to school full-time this year, but also works an average of 40+ hours a week, splitting it between her three paying jobs: a pretzel shop where she's on her feet constantly, Door Dash where she uses the car she bought (paying cash) at age 15, and her new pursuit: being a mobile Notary Public. And she has continued this, even though she's still recuperating from surgery for a track injury that affected her ACL and meniscus.  During this last year of high school, she paid all her own senior fees and activity costs, and plans to put herself through the University of Houston beginning in the Fall of 2021.  Jaz'Myn sees struggle as a way to build herself. She won't give up because of her clear, strong goals, and her understanding that she is an example to her brothers. Her goal is to care for her parents as they have cared for her, to be a good example to her brothers and later, to her own children.  Don't let where you've come from come between you and your dreams.  She grew up in a loving family, but nothing in her life has been handed to her. Finances wouldn't permit it. But Jaz'Myn wouldn't ask, either. Her philosophy is that when you work for what you get, you appreciate it more.  So, watch out, world! Jaz'Myn Hall is launching herself into the world like a rocket, and there's no telling how high she'll go! The irrepressible Luscious Barbie TIK-TOK star tells about her meteoric rise to social media stardom, and how she walked the line between chutzpa and insanity to get there.  An unexpected $2000 windfall brought Luscious to California on a spur of the moment decision to make her entree into the stand-up comedy scene. She worked as an audience member, and used the opportunity to get the attention of the people in charge and impress them with her stage presence and timing skills. She participated in various theatrical efforts in LA until the pandemic hit. On her mother's advice, she moved home with the expectation of staying for a week. After only 2 months, Arlington’s Breakfast Brothers Restaurant’s popularity is unbelievable. But this story is anything but an overnight success. Owner Rickey Booker says, “I see us as a combination of Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles and Gladys Knight Chicken and Waffles.” And with an estimated 5000 people moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex every month, Breakfast Brothers has a built-in clientele. Booker got his start in the entertainment industry, running a club in Dallas. He noticed that people went out to restaurants after going to the club, so the idea of providing food at the club seemed like a good step.  Knowing little to nothing about food service, he and his partner bought a food truck and parked it behind the club. It was soon nicknamed The Little Black Shack and the patrons, and even the staff of the club were ordering meals there, bringing in between $300 and $400 dollars daily.  They had unconsciously built a whole new concept. Never before considering how special they were, they looked for a venue as unique as their brand. They asked for help finding it.  One day, a friend called. A former chain restaurant was now standing vacant near her salon. With no appliances or fixtures inside, it was ready to become their dream restaurant. For Booker, it was love at first sight. Focused on long-term success, he and his partner got an architect to design the venue so that any future Breakfast Brothers restaurant could be easily recognized  by its signature style.   Though his reputation for great meals preceded the restaurant, he admits that he did his own word of mouth campaign with the community even when it was months from opening. As he says, "While they built it out, I built it up!"
