While EPCODA is on a summer hiatus, we wanted you to check out an episode of a new podcast by Jim and Chris: And a Better Tomorrow. Each week, they discuss the comic runs, movies, TV shows, and more featuring characters from the DC Comics universe.

Join them as they attempt to give a play-by-play of all that occurs inside of Mickey Mouse's imagination, grapple with whether the face of Disney taps into the Dark Side of the Force to defeat evil, and dream about how much more Disney IP we can cram into this spectacle on the Rivers of America. The weirdest mash-up of the year continues! In our unintentional two-part episode covering Disneyland's Pinocchio's Daring Journey and the MCU movie Thunderbolts*, Jim and Chris pick up where they left off. Join us as we talk about what Pinocchio and Thunderbolts have in common, talk about the plot, characters, and themes of the most recent MCU movie, give our ratings, ponder where the MCU goes from here, and much, much more!

Let your conscience be your guide...or a super soldier with a vibranium arm. This week on EPCODA we had two topics, Pinocchio's Daring Journey at Disneyland and the newest MCU movie Thunderbolts*, that we combined into one episode thinking neither would take too long. We were wrong! So here is Part 1 of what we are calling "Pinocchio's Daring Thunderbolts*" in which Jim and Chris discuss, lowly rate, and figure out what to do about the Pinocchio attraction out in Anaheim before shifting gears to give the Distory behind the most recent MCU blockbuster. It flows better than it sounds.

(Sound of a bellowing alphorn) It's time to head to the Swiss Alps in Southern California as Jim and Chris talk about the original Disneyland thrill ride Matterhorn Bobsleds. Join them as they discuss this classic attraction, ponder ways to Plus It Up, and get very distracted over whether there is a difference between yetis and abominable snowmen. Bright suns! It is May the Fourth and so it was important that we commemorate Star Wars Day by celebrating what we love about the galaxy far, far away. In addition to the EPCODA crew, we invited guest hosts Zach, Shari, Asher, and Taylor to record voice notes about their favorite Star Wars scene. We only scratch the surface, so feel free to let us know your favorites.

Start your engines! The EPCODA crew continues their journey through the Happiest Place on Earth with one of the opening day attractions at Disneyland: Autopia. Hear Liam, Jim, and Chris talk about what is a very divisive ride for the three of them, dream about ways to Plus It Up, and ponder whether it is easier to train a cat or a pigeon to carry out messages. Play ball! Spring is in the air and baseball season is in full swing. The EPCODA crew makes a spur of the moment decision to come up with Disney versions of all 30 Major League Baseball teams in a meandering conversation between Jim, Liam, and Chris. Which WDW attraction will claim its one shining moment and be declared the greatest in all the (Disney) world? This year we are seeking to find out what is the best attraction at Walt Disney World. We continue with the Cinderella's Castle Region featuring the Magic Kingdom. Who will come out on top in what one of our panelists calls "this dumb bracket"? Who will win the weird play-in between Tron and the PeopleMover? What happens when new school Tiana's Bayou Adventure goes up against the old school Haunted Mansion? Join Jim, Liam, Chris plus guest hosts Taylor, Shari, and Robin as they debate, laugh, and tell stories about Hollywood Studios!

It is the Magic Kingdom Finale (for now)! The EPCODA crew runs down the scores that they gave to all of the attractions they experienced, talk about what they did not do and would do the next time, and propose their ideas for how they would take the park to the next level. It's a curiouser and curiouser episode of EPCODA as Jim, Liam, and E. A. take you for a spin on the Mad Tea Party. They'll talk about the Distory behind Alice in Wonderland and the different versions of the attraction it inspired. There will be a few disagreements on spinning the ride, share some interesting ideas to Plus It Up, and cap it off with the biggest divide on an EPCODA score ever!

Oh, bother! This week Liam and E. A. take us to the Hundred Acre Wood as they discuss The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. They'll tell us about the history behind A. A. Milne's beloved short stories, the wild ride that preceded Pooh at the Magic Kingdom, and their adventures with the Many Adventures attraction. All this and more on this week's EPCODA!

"Fight that plaque. Scary monsters don't have plaque!" The EPCODA crew closes out Tomorrowland Month with a supersized episode in which we talk about Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor and dive into our long-teased topic of "What the heck are we going to do with Tomorrowland?" Join us as we talk about Mike Wazowski's comedy club and then suggest scrapping, remodeling, and bringing in all new attractions to the land that is the first right at the hub. All systems go, we are ready for launch! Jim and Chris are here to talk about the crown jewel of Tomorrowland: Space Mountain. Join us on this intergalactic episode as we talk about the origins of this classic attraction, its variant versions around the world, and marvel at the fact that this (very fun) thrill ride is barely faster than you are allowed to drive in a school speed zone. Join us as we talk about the Distory behind the PeopleMover, get sidetracked into Liam trying to stump the others in Winnie the Pooh trivia, and explain why this attraction--yes, the PeopleMover--is one of our favorites in the Magic Kingdom.

It's a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow! The EPCODA crew kicks off 2025 and Tomorrowland Month with a look at Walt Disney's classic attraction Carousel of Progress. We'll take you on a trip from the 1964 New York World's Fair to (possible?) future as we look at what this ride has been and could be. We're talking animatronics, time jumps, laserdiscs, uncles in bathtubs, proposals for new Disney resorts, and so much more on this week's EPCODA!

The EPCODA crew wraps up this last episode of 2024 by looking back on our favorite memories, Disney and otherwise, from the past year. And we discuss what we are looking forward to in 2025. We are joined this week by guest co-hosts Robin and Shari Hunt as we dive into whether this is now a Christmas movie, how bad are the McCallisters as parents, our favorite traps, and much, much more! Join Jim and Chris as they talk about the attractions that proceeded this laser -laden gallery, discuss the many different names Disney has given this ride internationally, and try to come up with another Disney character that could anchor this attraction. Can we get a "Chee-hoo"? EPCODA goes to the movies this week as we look at the blockbuster tsunami that is Moana 2. We ended up recording this episode a little bit differently due to school, but tune as Jim, Liam, and Chris share their thoughts on their favorite new characters, songs, and wonder how Pua has survived among Moana's people for so long.

"It's a pod of laughter, a pod of tears" (okay the second part isn't true). The EPCODA crew continues their journey through the Magic Kingdom with a stop at the classic it's a small world. They will take you on a journey from the 1964 World's Fair to Anaheim, Orlando, and beyond. Jim, Liam, and Chris compare the east and west coast versions of the Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed and talk through their very different opinions of this attraction. It's called "A Salute to All Disney, but Mostly the Muppets." Jim and Chris (with a surprise appearance from E.A.) break down last week's big announcement involving Hollywood Studios, Monsters Inc., and the Muppets. They briefly touch on their excitement about Monstropolis before talking about their sadness over losing(?) MuppetVision 3D and how pumped they are about the Muppets taking over Rock 'N' Roller Coaster.

We're back(side of water)! Jim and Chris return to skipper you down the most pun-tastic journey of them all: Jungle Cruise. They'll share some of the Distory behind this opening day Disneyland attraction, ponder how skipper puns become canon, give an incredibly scientifically accurate impersonation of the sound piranhas make, and much more!

It's heist time! In celebration of Halloween week, the EPCODA crew (plus guest host E. A.) plays a game in honor of one our favorite TV shows: Brooklyn Nine-Nine. We're holding a draft in which each person selects a team of five Disney characters that we think would best be able to steal an item from the Magic Kingdom and hold onto it until midnight.
