Everything Is Hard
by Emma Louisie
Hard in like, a good way. And sometimes a bad way.In these conversational eps I take on a more raw and less glamorous approach to mental & physical wellbeing, acknowledging (begrudgingly) that it’s all a bit hard. But that in itself, doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. See, the title is not a prelude to self-pity, but more of an honest, validating, and empowering take. Good stuff is hard, not good stuff is hard… everything has a consequence, so it’s just about choosing the “ right ” hard as much as you can, isn’t it? 07. Plastic surgery: helpful or harmful? My thoughts as a “wellness babe”
Is it really ever “empowering” or are we just being complicit and perpetuating harmful beauty standards? Is it anti-feminist??? Can I still really boycott diet culture if I’ve had a nose job!!?! An interesting conversation with me (a wellness babe who *has* had plastic surgery) on the how it can be both a good choice, and a bad choice. I chat about how to be conscious of your intentions, how it may play a role in reducing self esteem, and how to navigate it all in your head. Thankyou so much for listening and rating and sharing your thoughts. Say hello: @emmalouisie on IG Health coaching: @flourishbyemma <3

06. Change is hard
The reminder we sometimes need to hear. Who doesn’t love an existential crisis? A candid chat on reframing your mindset to survive life changes / late 20s dread / your Saturn Returns… and a bit about what I’ve been going through. Fear, doubt, sadness — they’re not always an indicator of “ bad ” things. Often they’re a necessary prerequisite to positive growth. Annoyingly.

03. Bad brain, sad brain (how to get out of a rut)
Some people are born with a happy disposition, and others have to fight for it a bit harder (I’m that one), and I don’t think there needs to be shame around that. You just need to learn how to accept and adapt, embrace the good with the “ bad “. This is a chat on things I’ve found to help pull me out of that place and tackle bad brain accordingly. @emmalouisie / @flourishbyemma

01. Is the fitness industry making you sick? (and why I quit being a fitness influencer)
You’re always bloated, you can’t stop thinking about food, your skin is freaking out… let’s talk about it!! There’s an undeniable link between the gym lifestyle and body modification with a rise in autoimmune, digestive and health issues (especially among women). I chat about this and provide an insight on how to adjust your approach, begin to reverse your symptoms, and discuss how to approach your health in a more beneficial way. @flourishbyemma for coaching and @emmalouisie to chit chat in the DMs, I’d love your thoughts. 00. Everything is “ hard ”
A brief hello! My name is Emma, a (reluctant) wellness babe who’s come to reject the highly curated and often unrealistic standards we see in traditional “wellness” culture. I take on a more raw and less glamorous approach to mental & physical wellbeing, acknowledging (begrudgingly) that it’s all a bit hard. But that this in itself doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. See, the title is not a prelude to self-pity, but more of an honest, validating, and empowering take. Good stuff is hard, not good stuff is hard… everything has a consequence, so it’s just about choosing the “ right ” hard as much as you can, isn’t it?
