Can the X-Men defeat this madman with the help of their proud and irritable former teammate, Sunfire? Adventures ensue, but Banshee plays a heavy price for his part in the action. Then, the merry mutants must return to Wolverine's homeland, the great white North of Canada to face off with a new group of foes... the government sanctioned super team, Alpha Flight! Many of the X-Men are captured, but Cyclops is willing to get them back at any cost... even if it's over Alpha Flight's dead bodies!
