Exploring Ecospheres

Let's explore the serene coastal ecosystems of coral reefs. These ecospheres are really iconic and we always hear about the beauty of reefs with all their lively communities and colour. But what we don't usually hear about, is how did these reefs actually get there? How did they start out? I'll also explore some different reef formations that you can only imagine from a birds-eye-view. And... what do reefs have to do with ancient civilisations and pirates?

When you think of bats, you might think of vampires and spooky mansions. But they’re not as scary as they seem! Bats are the unsung heroes of our rainforests and farmland. So, let’s clear out the cobwebs and debunk some myths for Bat Appreciation Week!

Join me as I unpack the complex cycle of water that is vital to life on Earth. I'll explore the transformation of water through different states and the circulation of water through reservoirs. Do humans impact the water cycle? I'll also focus on an important phenomenon that links the water cycle with the nitrogen cycle! And, what does groundwater have to do with coral reef ecosystems?
