On October 24th, 2014, evil came to Sacramento, California with methamphetamine in his veins, and whispers of murder in his thoughts. He and his wife engaged in a Bonnie-and-Clyde like crime spree, killing two deputies and wounding a third deputy and a civilian. More victims and witnesses were terrorized as a several-hour manhunt ensued, locking down schools and neighborhoods. The effects of chaos reverberated throughout the region until the couple was taken into custody. This podcast is based upon the book written by Deputy Scott Brown and Victoria Newman, Facing Evil : A Cop’s Story of Murder, Mayhem, and the Aftermath. Season One concentrates primarily on both the murder and the mayhem that took place in both Sacramento and Placer County California on October 24th, 2014.
