Failure to thrive

Disability organizations can. Succeed if we are ready to engage in understanding. The fears we are dealing with. And their impacts as discussed in the. Episodes described below.   This episode of Failure to Thrive starts a series of three practical and philosophical episodes presenting a intensive look at fear.  Many "Purpose based" tax payer supported organizations face significant and immediate changes given the current political and cultural setting.  Critical decisions are needed and are being approached in an atmosphere dominated by fear.  The set of episodes outlines three topics.  1. How do people with specific roles in organizations view fear and what are some implications for their management or leadership tasks?  2. How does the "root cause of the fear being encountered shape the stance and actual actions taken by organizations. 3. What are some techniques and timelines that can be effective in this time of change? This episode offers a very brief "disability related"definition of DEI.  So much of what we hear  on this topic is an argument  about a social narrative.  The argument is useless unless we settle on a reasonable definition that can serve as a foundation for the discussion and since the disability community is falling squarely under the umbrella it is time we suggest  a very reasonable framework for the social narrative of DEI
