Fore Love of Golf

Well folks, we made it to Episode 50 which we hope is just a quick stop on a long journey with Fore Love of Golf.  #50 is a special one for us as we were able to bring on friend of the pod, Sean McDonough.  If you’ve watched any sports over the last 35+ years, there’s a decent chance you’ve seen or heard Sean.  From The Masters to Monday Night Football, NCAA Hoops and Olympic Luge (Sean is a big Luger), he has added to so many memories for millions of people. It was great to have him on, and we are going to hold him to coming back for #100.  Oh yeah, sorry to Hunter for all of the jabs he took tonight...we missed ya buddy.

In Episode 49, the boys chat with Johnny Thompson, longtime Callaway Golf employee. Johnny has worked in some great roles within the company including years as a Tour Rep for Odyssey and Callaway. He has spent time on the LPGA Tour, Champions Tour, and PGA Tour and is now working as the Tour Content Manager for the company. JT is a fun guy and someone that is very knowledgeable in the clubfitting and Tour worlds.

In Episode #48, the guys discuss the 2026 Masters, Rory's place in history, Augusta's playing characteristics and more. We had yet another great tournament this year, and Augusta National and The Masters continue to put on one of, if not the greatest events in sports.

In Episode #47, Adam Messix joins to chat about the 2026 Masters, Augusta National, and great golf in general. Adam is one of the most knowledgeable golf architecture minds in the world and is one of a very small number of Centurions...folks that have played the Top 100 golf courses in the world. In Episode #46, the guys chat with friend of FLoG, Billy Nachman. Billy was one of the early believers in our show, and we are very grateful for that. Billy isn't just a sponsor though, he's a genuinely fun guy and someone we have enjoyed getting to know. His journey and business acumen is both helpful and fun to hear about. Criquet does things a little different and is carving their own path in the golf apparel world, which allows them to stand out. In Episode 45, the guys chat with friend of the pod, Josh Stueve. Josh's career has spanned quite an array of experiences from his time in the U.S. Marines, to becoming Editor in Chief of Carolinas Golf Magazine...oh yeah, how about stops as the Director of Public Affairs for the U.S. Attorney's office (Eastern District of Virginia), and spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Justice? Josh's career is certainly worthy of a podcast episode and we hope you enjoy!

For those of you that don't know the name Eric Wind...it's worth a Google. Eric is one of the world's foremost experts in watches and is also a certified golf aficionado. In our Hank Aaron episode, we do admittedly go a bit off script and talk a lot about watches, but there is also some fun golf tie-in as well. Eric is a fun guy to chat with and super knowledgeable, and we hope you enjoy the chat as much as we did!

In Episode 43, the guys chat Drew Page, Player Relations Rep for Scotty Cameron on the PGA Tour. Drew gives us some great insight into life traveling with the Tour, new wands in the bags of some of the big names, and even a peek into his own collection. We hope you enjoy!

In episode #42, the guys chat with friend of the show, Don Sargent. Don is the Director of Instruction at legendary Scioto Country Club, home of the 2026 U.S. Senior Open. Sarge, as he is known to many, is one of GOLF Magazine's Top 100 instructors and his career has included stops at some of the best clubs in the country and with some of the best instructors of all-time. In addition to being in the top class of his field, Sarge is a great storyteller and friend. We hope you enjoy the show!

In Episode 41, the guys chat with friend of the show, Paul Chang. Paul's journey in the game of golf is quite remarkable and has led him to the #1 team in NCAA Division I Men's Golf and to being a Top 40 ranked amateur in the world. Through determination, hard work and grit, Paul is an inspiration and we hope this conversation will reveal the same thing to you.

In episode 40, the guys chat with none other than Tim Reardon. Tim spent over 45 years with PING and worked everywhere from the club repair shop to Japan. From his relationship with Karsten Solheim, to building drivers made from a telephone, Tim has some wonderful stories and experience to share.

In Episode 39, the boys chat with golf course architect and Golfweek Magazine Architecture Advisory Panelist, Jay Blasi. Jay currently resides in California, by way of Wisconsin and has an extensive career including new builds and restorations. Jay gives us some great insight into the mind of both an architect and a golf course rater. We hope you enjoy!

In Episode 38, the guys chat with Korn Ferry Tour winner Bo Hoag. Bo was a standout junior golfer in the Columbus, Ohio area and kept his solid play going at Ohio State. After graduation, Bo was successful in earning his PGA Tour card and shares some wonderful stories of his time in the game and his relationship with Jack Nicklaus.

In Episode 35, Ryan and Parker preview the 2026 season for both the podcast and the PGA Tour. We have some big dreams for this show and hope we can bring them to life this year. Jordan is a passionate golf collector and artist and has curated an extremely fun and special collection of various golf equipment, memorabilia, autographs, etc. For anyone who has a collector's-type brain, you can likely understand the excitement behind the topics we get into in this episode.
