U.S. news and world news daily update for July 10th, 2025
U.S. news and world news daily update for July 10th, 2025. Today's new stories are: Number one. Yesterday, Trump met with several African leaders. What will be remembered of this meeting is Trump telling the Liberian president that he was impressed how well he spoke English. English is the official language of Liberia. He also asked them to speed up their introductions, and he got overly excited again for his favorite woman journalist from Africa, so it didn't go too well. Number two, Elon Musk's AI tool grok is getting a lot of attention this week and not for good reasons. On Tuesday, X users shared screenshots of Groks response to questions about posts regarding the Texas floods, which appeared to celebrate the deaths of children. Another user asked which 20th central historical figure would be best suited to deal with such posts. Grok replied to deal with such vile anti-white hate, Adolf Hitler. No question. Other users posted on grok using an answering questions about the phrase every damn time in Replies to Jewish Surnames, which has been seen as an anti-Semitic meme. On Wednesday's X, chief executive Linda Yaccarino paused. On Wednesday, X chief executive Linda Yaccarino announced that she was leaving the company two years after joining Musk's social media platform. Number three, now that Trump's big, beautiful bill has passed, he wants to hire 10,000 more Ice agents, which would be a massive undertaking the administration is currently employing roughly half that now. When Trump tried to hire 10,000 Ice officers during his first administration, more than 500,000 people would have needed to apply, according to a Homeland Security inspector general report at the time. It was even more challenging for the Customs and Border Protection. In the report, it said to hire another 5000 agents, the government would have to have screened 750,000 people when the Border Patrol doubled in size, from roughly 9200 officers to 18,000 within a few years, a remarkable spike in corruption and misconduct happened. one way the Trump administration could get around the hiring issues for Ice is by expanding the 287 G program, which effectively deputizes local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration laws. The federal government currently has more than 800 such agreements in place, but the program requires local buy in. Democrat led cities are unlikely to participate in that. A Homeland Security hiring expo last month, more than 1000 people were tentatively offered job offers out of roughly 3000 candidates. Number four earlier this year, Doge under the Trump administration, cut roughly 600 positions from the National Weather Service in the name of combating government waste. Neil Jacobs, Trump's pick to run the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which oversees the National Weather Service, made this statement in his Senate confirmation hearing on Wednesday. He said he would make staffing the weather service office a top priority. He also said it's really important for the people to be there because they have relationships with the people in the local community. the Trump administration, laid off or offered buyouts to hundreds of NWS staff in the part of Texas where floods recently hit. The San Antonio Austin NWS office was short six employees from its standard staffing of 26 people. The San Angelo office, which provided alerts to parts of central Texas, was also short four people from its standard staffing of 23. Number five, at least 31 workers were safely rescued after a tunnel collapse in a large industrial complex in Los Angeles Wednesday evening. The collapse took place at the 18 foot diameter tunnel being constructed for municipal wastewater management. More than 100 LA fire departments responded to the scene, including the LA Fire Department, urban Search and rescue team members. workers were brought out of the tunnel area in a caged hoisted up by a crane. Now let's move on to world news. Number one. This one is a bit of a mix of world and US news. Francesca Albanese an UN Special rapporteur has been sanctioned by the United States over her work as an independent investigator scrutinizing human rights abuses in Gaza. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio made the statement, saying that she has spewed unabashed antisemitism, expressed support for terrorism and open contempt for the United States, Israel and the West. Francesca believes the sanctions were calculated to weaken her mission. She says she'll continue to do what she has to do. I've been reporting on her for over a year, and nothing Marco Rubio says is accurate, in my opinion. She's holding countries accountable based on the proof provided. And much of that proof comes from the Israeli soldiers documenting their war crimes and putting it on social media for views. number two. Let's do an update on the ongoing cease fire attempts between Hamas, the United States and Israel. today. Hamas said it opposes any ceasefire deal that includes a large Israeli military presence in Gaza, after offering to release some hostages. Late Wednesday, they said they agreed to release ten people. sticking points for Hamas? Are the disagreements over the free flow of aid into Gaza and Israel's military withdrawal. The negotiations continue in Doha for a 60 day ceasefire. All right, that's it for this episode. Have a great day.

U.S. news and world news daily update for July 9th, 2025
U.S. news and world news daily update for July 9th, 2025. Number one, if you are flying in the US soon, you do not have to remove your shoes anymore for TSA. The new policy goes into effect immediately at all airports nationwide. The no shoe policy was first implemented in 2006. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, said that the new technological advances have made it possible to make this change without compromising safety. Number two, if you are having a child between 2025 and 2028, the story is for you. Your child could be eligible for their very own Trump account. President Trump is going to give $1,000 of seed money to every child born from the beginning of 2025 to the end of 2028. This will be similar to an IRA. Under the new program, parents will have the option to open Trump accounts for any child under 18 at a bank of their choice. Contributions will be capped at $5,000 per year, including up to $2,500 tax free from a parent's employer. The money will grow tax free until it's withdrawn and must be invested in a broad stock index. Account holders can make partial withdrawals when they turn 18 and access the full amount at age 25, but only for qualified purposes, including paying for college, starting a business or buying a first home. They get full access to the funds at age 30 to use for any purpose. Now, once cashed out, distributions will be taxed as long term capital gains if the funds are used for a qualifying purpose. When you spend on anything else will be treated as ordinary income. Number three an Iranian woman who was detained by Ice has been released following advocacy from Republican House Majority Leader Steve Scalise. Donna Kashanian 64 years old, was detained by Ice last month while gardening in her yard at her New Orleans home. She has been living in the United States for 47 years, and her husband and daughter are both US citizens. She has been allowed to stay in the US as long as she has checked in regularly with immigration authorities, which her family and attorney says that she has done. due to the public pressure and political pressure, she was released. Number four in Trump's cabinet meeting yesterday, he suggested taking over New York City and Washington DC. The comments came after he was asked about New York City's upcoming mayoral election. Trump said about Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani, we're not going to have if a communist gets elected to run New York, it can never be the same. But we have tremendous power at the white House to run places where we have to. He also said we could run DC. We're looking at DC. We don't want crime in DC. We want the city to run well. He also said this about DC. We would run it so good it would be run so proper. We'd get the best person to run it. And we know crime would be down to a minimum, would be much less. And, you know, we're thinking about doing it, to be honest with you. Number five, the U.S. Agricultural Secretary, Brooker Rollins, said on Tuesday that there will be no amnesty for agricultural workers as President Trump's administration moves to deport all immigrants in the country illegally. Rollins said the administration wants a 100% American workforce, and suggested that some people receiving government aid could replace immigrant workers. She said, ultimately, the answer on this is automation. Also some reform within the current governing structure. And then also when you think about it, there are 34 million able bodied adults in our Medicaid program. There are plenty of workers in America, she said at a press conference outside the Department of Agricultural Headquarters. now most adults on Medicaid work full or part time or are not working due to illness or disability, caregiving or school attendance, according to a may brief by the health policy organization KFF. Now let's move on to world news. Number one, Russia targeted Ukraine with a record 728 drones overnight. Yesterday, President Trump pledged to send more defensive weapons to Ukraine and criticized Russian President Putin, which was unusual for him. The Ukrainian military downed almost all the drones, with some of the six hypersonic missiles launched did cause unspecified damage. Number two. Yemen's Houthis have damaged a second ship in as many days in the Red sea, targeting a vessel with rocket propelled grenades. There is video of one of these events, which I'll put on my Instagram Reels today, if you want to see that. Number three. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz told reporters that he instructed the IDF and the ministry to bring forward a plan to establish a new humanitarian city in the southern Gaza Strip on the ruins of Rafah. His ideas to accommodate initially some 600,000 Palestinians who have been living in the Mawasi area on the coast after being displaced from elsewhere in the strip after screening them to ensure Hamas members are not entering. Once in the zone, Palestinians will not be able to leave. He also emphasized his ambition to encourage Palestinians to voluntarily emigrate from the Gaza Strip to other countries, saying this should be fulfilled, so essentially shrinking their open air prison and forcing them out by making conditions worse than they already are. For those who are not up to date on the aggression of the Israeli government, on the Palestinian people the last seven decades, I encourage you to look some of this up. Western education has neglected many of us on the details of this history. The Hundred Years War on Palestine is a good book to start with. Or check out my social media. I have documented the last two years and also many historical events. All right. That's it for this episode. Have a great day.

They left shortly after Mayor Karen Bass showed up. #2 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spent Monday night having dinner at the white House. This is his third visit in six months. In typical fashion, Trump had the media there before the dinner to answer questions. Questions were asked about all topics, but included several on Israel. He could be released as early as next week. information has been put out about his conditions while he was in El Salvador prison, known as CECOT Now let's move on to the world news. Let's move on to world news #1 The Israeli Defense Forces took a big hit yesterday, resulting in the deaths of five soldiers and 14 being injured, two of those in critical condition. They were on foot when they were hit with an explosive device. A second group came to the rescue and they were also attacked. Then a third group came and they were attacked several times in social media. Now, several times on social media, for those who follow me, I've spoken about the IDF's lack of spacing and how they react to attacks gives opportunities to create mass casualties. This could be one of those examples. This attack also happened within 500m of the northern fence in Gaza. #2 Israeli authorities have announced the seizure of 183 acres, or 74 hectares, of land, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. the area has been declared state land since early 2023. Israel has seized a total of 6380 acres, or 2582 hectares of land, under the so-called state land designation. All right, that's it for this episode. Have a great day.

And in February, Pam Bondi told Fox News that the list was sitting on her desk for review. The Israel and Gaza war and the use of Lavender AI to target civilians
Today I'm covering how Israel is using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for targeting in the Gaza strip. It was is supposed to be used for Hamas but it's killing thousands of civilians too. I go through +972's article on the AI being used now. They were able to get information from six intelligence officers. Gaza civilians are being killed at high rates while Israel is targeting Hamas. The Lavener AI system is meant to be an auxiliary tool but it seems like Israel is not using it that way. So far over 30K Palestinians have been killed and 70K wounded in six months going against the Lavender AI system. This is one more example of Israel destroying Palestinian lives while the world watches. Palestinians are not safe Lavendar operation in Gaza Strip.
