A life well lived, A life well died.
In this podcast, I talk about the deaths of Mom and Dad. it is a tough subject for most to talk about. If it is a tough subject to listen to, I hope y'all can find the strength to listen. I have been wanting to talk about this after opening up about it while sitting down and talking about it on Jarrod Morris's podcast during the NFR this past December in Las Vegas

Thank y'all to the listeners of the podcast and for all the kindness and support! This is gonna be a heavy subject that I believe many can relate: drinking, substance abuse, sobriety, getting sober, staying sober, social drinking, etc.I approach the subject if generational drinking, a lineage of alcohol and the cycle or chain of abuse and misuse of drink. *This episode is long, so pace yourself!I miss you Dad!photo credits go to writer/director Matthew Dylan.

Episode 15. In this episode, I read from several instagram post where I discuss the stories and inspirations behind some of the pairs of leggins I have build over the past couple of years. I shed some light on how I go about drawing an idea on paper to cutting everything out of leather and creating using cowboy gear with an artistic flare. I speak a lot on the ideas of authenticity, originality and always working towards improving my patterns and the quality and style of my work. This episode is my longest one to date, lasting just over two hours! As always, I appreciate all of the shares and listens and all of the feedback I receive on every episode.

Episode 14: Are You A Real Cowboy? or, I Cowboy, Therefore I Am.
The thing about the word COWBOY. This word can be a noun, verb or an adjective. It all comes down to experience, lifestyle, culture, frame of mind, acceptance, interest and how we walk, or ride through life. In this episode, I'll reflect back on my own experiences dealing with and struggling with the title of "cowboy". I try to draw connections between several cultures and lifestyles that have the same ideals and codes and ethics as the cowboy culture. The image of the cowboy has long been a vision of inspiration as well as fascination. Who doesn't want to be a cowboy? But, I also believe the image of those authentic to their own lifestyle and culture can be just as iconic. Tell me you've never stopped somewhere, where there are a line of choppers or hotrods parked against a curb and stared and found fascination in those machines or the men and women who built them and embrace that lifestyle.

Life is what we make it. How wonderful it was to me. BRING 'EM!
In this episode, I share some memories and experiences from the branding pen. I reflect on what I have learned not only from my horses, but from my experiences throughout my life. Somehow, I find and draw parallels with the good and bad that happens in the branding pen and how those things guide us in our own lives. There is a lot of value and sharing and teaching along the way. life currency is best spent on others. The wealth of it all is in the sharing. another amazing photo by my good friend Scott Slusher

Episode 9: Art is what you make it.
In this episode, I will read from 4 of my instagram posts where I talk about gatekeepers, tradition, art, creativity and how it is all connected. No matter what we do, as long as we are creating art, it is ART! It doesn't matter if it's photography, writing, painting, drawing, or training horses, never ever let anyone tell you that what you do is not art. I do my best to see all sides of this discussion and I also like to insert some wisdom shared to me by my mother, who was in her own right an artist, horsewoman and trailblazer.
