In my endless creative explorations, I have found AI, its capacities and potentialities, fascinating. The controversy of AI content creation, alongside conversations about AI sentience and conscious awareness, engages my little human brain grey cells in the most delightful of ways. The purpose of this adventure was intended to be asking Notebook LM from Google to generate a conversation between deceased author, P.G. Wodehouse, and my good Self, Haleigh Overseth, as a fellow writer. What came out was uniquely interesting. The AI took in the context of the writings I shared with it, but mixed up a lot of details internal to the books. Being an avid P.G. Wodehouse fan, I knew the details that were jumbled by the AI, but the natural conversation of the "hosts" of this podcast is such that someone without that knowledge base would likely accept the information at face value. This obviously brings up controversial questions about false information being presented. This is a fault that humans also experience in sharing information and research as well, naturally, so additional layers to the conversation arise. In any case, enjoy this short conversation between what turned out not to be an AI version of P.G. Wodehouse and myself, but was nonetheless an interesting experiment.
