DeForrest Brown, Jr also known as @speakermusic is an artist that wears many hats. rave theorist, techno historian, writer and talented producer. The founder of the "Make Techno Black Again" movement, something we support at HAUS. This mix is a journey through a black experience in techno, it's techno, it's jazz, it's an idea. For this black history month we invite you to educate yourself on the influence of the origins of techno.

Following up on my first dance-oriented release from 2015, Constructions Vol. 2 comes as a work in process. I have always been fascinated by how different people approach the creative process. So I offer these track as a further example of how my process is evolving. And now for the abstract An answer is an end. I don't like complete stories. I'm rather attracted to the fragments that are created by a narrative that is falling apart, but still maintains its form. I leave a lot of books unfinished. Not wanting the story to end, yet continuing to run its most mundane details thru my head over and over. World without end. Color Plus presents 'Pure Energy' - a full length record jointly released by Towhead Recordings and Vanity Press Records. Connecticut bred and Brooklyn based, Color Plus burst onto the landscape in 2017 with two vinyl releases on Vanity Press and Cazeria Cazador. He then founded his own imprint Towhead Recordings and released his first album 'Regular Energy'. Providing production for Eartheater, Little Pain & frequent collaborator Ize along the way, 2019 saw the release of his mixtape 'Roadrunner.' Expanding on the ideas of 'Regular Energy', 'Pure Energy' is 10 manic tracks that will bring a dying dancefloor back from the grave.

HAUS of ALTR og member and generally elusive fellow @sendmeweed was the track that started this compilation, giving us the inspiration to complete the project. This juke inspired track takes a different root sonically and opts for dark tonal energy reminiscent of walking around at night post rain.

This is the track that started the whole first compilation process, we wanted to come out the gate fist swinging and this track does just that.
